At Best Western and in DC by 12 pm
FP for Soarin, went to entertain our little mighty might who is 6. Tough to be a Bug, Heimlich's Chew Chew, Tuck and Roll Drive em buggies, Fliks Flyers then went to Farmers Market..Bad move,it was about 3pm, and the lines didn't seem too bad but it took 45 minutes to get chicken fingers & fried cheese, I took a short stroll and picked up a Margarita! There was no line and it hit the spot. Grown ups saw my find and followed also. The best 6.75 I spent that day!! Went and got a FP for Tower of Terror, stopped at Block Party Bash on the way to Soarin. We loved it. Mr Potato Head was a riot!! Kids seemed to like it. Loud and fun. Did Soarin, and my mom is afraid of heights but she wanted to give it a try. She really liked it, she just closed her eyes when you go over the mountain tops and such. She got some guts and did Tower of Terror too! We all loved that and could't wait to go again. Met my niece who is in the band and was around with us now and again. Went to Electric Parade, and couldn't get anything to eat. Lines way to long. Went to IHOP and enjoyed some well deserved pancakes before bed.

Early start in DL, Peter Pan, Snow White, FP Space Mountain (line to GET fast pass was about 15-20 minutes) Did Dumbo, Mr. Toad, Pinocchio. Rode the Omnibus by myself and rest of family went to Star Tours. That ride hurts my back for some reason. FP Indiana Jones. Then went to see my nieces band play their concert on the Plaze Garden Stage. Ate at Bengal BBQ, LOVED IT!! The bacon wrapped asparagas was the best thing I ate in the parks all around. They have a banana and strawberry parfait that was great too. We then did Pirates, Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise. Went and got FP for Autotopia, then backtracked to Haunted Mansion. We sat on Main street for the Parade, then used Autotopia fast passes. Got a FP for Buzz to use after dinner. We went to Medevial Times, a group of 304, but the place holds about 1000. Had a grand time, then headed back to DL for nightime. Last hour open, older kids and sister did Buzz, Space Mountain and Thunder Railroad. Whew, in bed at 1am!!

Took Mom who was having a few problems with her back. No wait for Canal Boats. That was really cute. Did Alice, Buzz, Honey I shrunk the audience, Met up with the tiny tike and my sister, moved to Small world, Gadget Go Coaster, Monorail and Railroad. Left with just mom again and went to Alladin. We did Muppets, Tower of Terror, Stinger, Screamin and went back to DL for fireworks. Stopped in innoventions, but didn't care for it. Again a late night. We tried to get on Pirates, but it was down, lines too long to wait.
Our big meal today was at Wine Trattoria. There were 10 of us, and the person that made our Priority seating was really snotty. The staff wasn't very friendly, and there was really no crowds there. We went for lunch at 2:30 and there was plenty of seating. The food wasn't bad, but not great, I expected more. I had the vegie lasagne, and the kids had grilled cheese. Some Meatball sandwiches which I think were the best thing on the table. Also forget to mention mom didn't ride the bigger rides because of her back, the rest of the kids met up with us by that time!! Nieces band marched in front of 6:30 Parade today. That was exciting!!

My best day because I won Dream Fast Passes. The family wanted to sleep in and mom was enjoying a lieserly breakfast. I grabbed a yogurt Parfait on Main street and took a stroll, went and did Haunted Mansion, then walked up behind Thunder Mountain. I found 2 Dream Members around a corner, and was so happy I was jumping up and down. I have been sending in postcards since Jan. and have not won anything!! She asked how many were in my party, and I told her 7 all together. She said "let me tell you a secret, since it would't be fun to go on rides all alone, just bring your entire party to City Hall and you can get a Dream Pass for everyone!" I thanked her profusely, then went to wake everyone up. After I emerged from the pathway, I took a minute to look for a family that had kids old enough to go on all the rides, then told them to go up the path and they should get Dream Passes. They did, and the father came out to find me and thank me. That felt really good. I always try to do something nice at the happiest place on earth!! Got everyone together and finally started our day at about 10:30. Went to Ariels Grotto for Chase Disney cardmember Meet and Greet. Got great pics with Mickey and Goofy!! Went to Alladin again with the whole family, nephew liked it more than the other kids, we loved it! Went back to DL, rode Thunder Mountain, Roger Rabbit, Indiana Jones was down. Parade, then to CA. Soarin, Screamin, Tower of Terror. Back to DL, Autotopia, Space Mountain and last ride of the trip Pirates!!! We would have never done all this without the passes!! Space Mountain at 11:30pm was a 90 minute wait. When I told my mom I won, she thought it was a night in the Castle!! I said "No way, the rides for the kids is so much better!!"

I made the most of my trip. Up early and in late. We all wore Crocs, and as ugly as people say they are, my feet never hurt!! We got a lot of compliments on them and it seems they only sell the black and red adult sizes in Disney stores, so the pink ones were special! I did a lot of prep. on the food aspect of the trip, and it was a waste. We really never had the time to sit and eat, and we were always on the go. Breakfast came with our hotel, and that saved a lot of time and money. The characters were all over and we got lots of pics. Mickey, Minnnie, Goofy, Pluto, Stitch, Woody, Mr. Incredible, Elasta Girl, Scully and some more I can't think of off the top of my head. My highlights were the fireworks and Alladin (a must not miss) and of course my niece and her school band!! We all got along and everyone had to compromise at some point. This was a once in a lifetime trip, and I will never forget it. Thanks to my sister, my mom and all the kids for making a great memory!!

Looking back I missed a few rides, and of course didn't put in all the FPs we used, which was a lot. Busy time at the park and the lines were all long. The crowds were heavy, but surprisingly polite!!

The current promotion is "year of a million dreams". As a part of that there are "dream squads" in the parks and downtown Disney. The prizes are given out per a computerized selection. The squad is told exactly where and when to give out a prize. It may tell them the 6th person that exits the tea cups at 10:42am- and a prize. They are giving out small prizes in the park such as dream fastpasses, lanyard/pins, blue and silver dream ears to larger prizes such as a night in the Mickey mouse suite in the disneyland hotel- complete with dinner at blue bayou and grand marshall of the parade. There are also really big prizes like vacations, membership to DVC, etc.

You can also mail in post cards to enter. There is a thread here that will tell you how to enter.

Its fun to win!! We finally won the lanyards on April 14, right as we were getting ready to leave after spending the night at PP. The kids with me wanted Jamba Juice before we got in the car to leave and as were walking out of the GCH exit by Sephora we saw 2 guys in white vests standing there staring at their watches. We stood there waiting until the nodded at each other (must have hit the right time) and they started pulling out the lanyards. Hurrah!! Finally. I told every person I passed to take a left at the Sephora if they wanted a prize. 1/2 of them had no idea what I was talking about and just kept walking.

When they were giving out Dream Passes they tried to give them to a woman walking by and she had no interest to stop and talk to them. They were trying to tell her what it was and she just waved them off!! Sorry, but they really never hassle you at Disney, even the picture taking people pretty much hang back and don't get in your face. They are there if you want to use the service, but don't bully you into it ya know? Unless I am in a real hurry I always answer the the surveys too.

I have probably been at the park(s) 20 times at or near opening time since this started and never even seen them handing stuff out or with their vests on.

It sounds like a fun time. I am so looking forward to my trip in twenty something days! I HOPE we run into a couple of the dream team people for ears, or lanyards or fastpasses! Wish us luck!
