Bigger-than-Life Hollywood Legend Receives 10-Film, Weeklong Birthday Salute as part of the
2007 Newport Beach Film Festival
Newport Beach, Calif. - - On the occasion of his 100<SUP>th</SUP> birthday John Wayne, considered by many to be the most popular movie star of all-time, will be feted with the largest film retrospective ever staged showcasing his impressive 50-year Hollywood career. The films, representing all five decades of his status as a screen star, include many of his most memorable films. Several of the films in the centennial screenings will be accompanied by rarely seen bonus footage, vintage trailers and the participation of noted associates.
The following films will be showcased during “Ten Decades of ‘The Duke’: The Official John Wayne Centennial Celebration,” part of the 2007 Newport Beach Film Festival:
