You save your pic on a web server (usually something your ISP includes with your account). Copy the location, create a post, choose IMG, paste pic location in box and go!

Just a reminder to everybody to make sure that you have the rights to post a picture. That you own the copyright or have permission to use it.

In order for this to work though the forum has to allow IMG code. Or down at the bottom of the page in the Forum Rules area it should say [ IMG ] code is ON. But I'm wondering (and I've asked this before (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4675) but it seemed to go unanswered ;) ) why are certain forums targetted to have the IMG code OFF? Specifically the Entertainment Discussons: General forum and the Community Center: MouseHUG forum.

There is a very good answer for that - really there is. To put it simply, they were overlooked. When a new forum is added, the system defaults to not allowing images.

I've enabled images in these forums, and you should be able to add them going forward.

Thanks Tony! That's what I figured.

Relax, I use www.villagephotos.com . THey may add a ad to the bottom of the Pic, but I have never had a problem with them. :)

You're using both AOL & Earthlink? You have your own domain name and website and can't figure out how to upload pictures? I'm a little lost here. Somewhere in there is your solution.

Are you the one that created that website (www.andrewwinner.com) or did someone else do it for you? I know that Earthlink will give you free webspace...follow their links on their customer support pages. They will walk you through it (Go to www.earthlink.net (http://www.earthlink.net) -> click on Support (http://support.earthlink.net) -> scroll down to the "My Web Site" section and click the button marked "Get My Site"...you can also click the link "Personal Web Site Help" located just above the button). I'm pretty sure AOL also has free webspace for you (if you are still using AOL as your website indicates).

But, as Lani pointed out, you've already got a website with your own domain. Why not just use that and upload the images? Someone created that site and if it wasn't you then I suggest you ask the person who did it to show you how.

I figured out a way to do it and you can see the picture I posted RIGHT HERE (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=106249#post106249) , it is a picture of the new map at DLR

Actually I put my site together by using their website wizard which does all the work for you, all you have to do is upload the pics to the site and it does the rest!!!

I would also like to remind people that the in-line posting of images, while allowed at this time, is strongly discouraged. Even though you are hosting the image on your own server, and not affecting MousePad bandwidth, you make pages more difficult to load for people with slower connections.

If you want to share a photo, we prefer that you host it on your server as always, and post links for people. (As Bill recently did with his baby photos) If there is a single photo that you would like to share that is directly relevant to the thread at hand, please make sure that it is small enough, (both in terms of physical dimensions and file size), that it will fit neatly within the post and won't stall the page for someone on dial-up.

Thank you for your consideration.
