My girlfriend and I have AP to universal/hollywood and so far have only gone 2 times. The original visit and one other. Is it just me or there isn't too much to do there? We only got the passes because So. cal gas had a private party one night and we upgraded for only $20.00.

I personally hate the Universal Studios parks, and I never visit them. Primarily because they don't have any attractions worth a minute of my time, and they don't even have enough lame ones to allow me to spend a whole day. I'd stick with Disneyland or Knotts.:)

Went to USH today, and had a GREAT Time!

A bit strange due to the high winds...

Traffic was the worst part of the day...

Being in the park was the best!

Another Universal fan, both Hollywood and Florida. It is unique in its own way and probably a not a park to go to every month, but still fun.

Is it just me or there isn't too much to do there? We only got the passes because.

About 4 attractions on the lower level, and about 6 attactions at the upper level, and you are done for the day.

And many of the attractions would be a "E" ticket attraction if located in Disneyland. Heck, they would have to make a special ticket just for the Tram Tour, since it offers so much.

And personally, I prefer the shows at USH, such as Water World over Aladdin at DCA (not a big musical fan).

We had passes to Universal Hollywood a couple years ago because they sent my husband a coupon for a free low-level AP, begging him to come to the park. My low-level AP was the same price as a day ticket, so I opted for the AP. I was not impressed. The attractions weren't all that interesting. The only one I really liked was T3. The Mummy was so incredibly lame it wasn't even funny. Some of the people who worked there were incredibly rude, the food choices in the park were fairly awful, and it was pretty much loud everywhere. We went once towards the end of the expiration date of our APs just to ride Mummy again to confirm exactly how lame it was - yep. Can't imagine why I'd ever want to go again unless drastic changes are made.

We went to Universal Florida and Islands of Adventure when we were in Orlando this past March. We had planned to spend a day at each park - there wasn't enough stuff that we were interested in to sustain a full day at each park. There were some good things (Spiderman was awesome, and I loved the Hulk, and The Mummy was eons better there, but Dueling Dragons was kind of lame, and the Poseidon attraction thing was kinda stupid), but I can't imagine having an AP there. If we ever go again, I think we'd opt for a single-day park-hopper.

We love Universal Studios! Can't wait to go again(as you see in my sig, we have a LONG wat to go). There is so much to do(as Darkbeer listed). It all fits into 1 day perfectly! There is no rushed feeling, and enough to keep you entertained. My daughter loves the tram tour(she's 8) and there is a lot for kids to do. They have wonderful characters throughout the park, and some very unique experiences to be had.

It depends on your child. As a mom of a three year old, I can't say that there is alot to do for kids. Maybe older kids. I've kept a pass because it is close to where I live, but my son only enjoys the water play area and ball room (where the kids can throw styrofoam balls around) ....both which have a problem with teenagers rough playing in areas that are filled with toddlers. Last time we went the teenagers were so bad in the ball room that the employees closed the room for a brief time to get the big kids to leave, unfortunately also forcing the little kids who were playng more appropriately outside as well.

Now the above is for the Hollywood park. The Orlando park has Islands of Adventure which has Seussland which is great for toddlers. We went last fall...and if memory is correct my three year old found more to do.

True, not much for a 3 year old. Mines 8 like said, and that is a good age if they don't have any fears! Plus the fact that we don't get to go all the time (only twice in the last three years).

That was actually at the similar area at Magic Mountain. At Universal, they do also have some problems with teenagers (and even adults) in the ball area, but they also have a pretty good security presence in there to enforce the policies.

I think Universal Studios Hollywood is a great park.
But I have a love for movies to and plus I would love
to get into that field someday.

I worked there many years ago, so I will always have a soft spot for the park.

True, there isn't much for my 8 month old & 2 year old, but besides Magic Mountain, it is the closest park to me. Some days we'll go up just to catch the Animal Show, a bit of lunch and head home. Last summer, my 1 YO LOVED the water play area, and not the little one, but the big one. This year I will have to take her when *I* am appropriately dressed to follow her in there. :)

It certainly is no Disneyland, but it has its good points. (I have to say, I did like the attractions much more when I worked there...I think they should stay true to the "movie studio" theme, and bring back attractions similar to the old Star Trek show, where guest would get to participate and take home a souvenir VHS tape.)

I will not.

I was just at USH two months ago, and have little motivation to do the parking and walking for rides/attractions of lesser interest than Disneyland's. I'd rather sit on Main Street and do nothing but listen to the piped in music and listen for the train, and listen for the Dapper Dans, and listen for the Firehouse Five, and listen for the Main Street Merchantile Orchestra, than walk around USH.
