Hi,

I am going to Disneyland on May 19 and plan to visit Magic Mountain on May 20. Can anyone tell me the best way to get there? I don't have a car, but I could rent one if need be. Your advice is much appreciated!

About your only choice is renting a car.

Just take Interstate 5 North from the DLR to Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, and then head west to the park entrance.

To maximize your day, you will want to get on the road around 7:30 AM, maybe a bit earlier. Since it is Sunday, the traffic on the 5 shouldn't be too bad.

You want to get in line to park around 9 AM, when they open the parking gates. I also would buy your tickets only, a great price and one less line to stand in (The ticket is printed at home, and they just scan the barcode).

The waits at the gates can get as long or longer than at Disneyland first thing in the morning. Then head to "X" along with everyone else as your first ride.

A couple of hints, take the Sky Tower, the views are wonderful and if it is a hot day, it is nice and cool up there. Use the Orient Express to get to the tower from near the Carousel near the front of the building. You can also do Ninja and Superman while on top of the hill, then walk down one of the paths.

If the lines are long, think about buying a set of 4 Flash Passes for $20, use one for Tatsu.

Have a great time
