Wwe have one and a half days at Disneyland with two 4-year olds. What are the must-do rides/things to do?
Thanks.

Winnie the Pooh (as much as it pains me to admit it.)

it's a small world

Meet Mickey. (I suggest the barn in Toontown for an intimate experience. Volunteer to be the last family to meet Mickey - you'll get undivided attention and won't feel rushed.)

If they're boys: The Disneyland Railroad and Buzz Lightyear (Not that girls wouldn't necessarily like these things but I'm used to 4-y/o boys.)

If they're girls: Meeting princesses and playing with princesses (there's a list of stuff to do in the guide at the park)

There's more but those are on the tops of our family's list.

My sister (4 years old) LOVED the dumbo ride, winnie the pooh, small world, and monster's inc. Also the redwood challenge trail, she loved running around and going down the slides.

My 4yo DS' fave ride is Jungle Cruise, if it's not on the first five list, he gets really upset. Is tall enough and loves Soarin' Over California. We haven't taken him on Star Tours yet, but I imagine he'll really like that one too. He's pretty much expressed an intrest in riding all the rides in both parks with the exception of Space Mountain (since it's all inside and he can't see that) and Grizzly River Run (he told me it looked scary to him). He keeps changing his mind on the Matterhorn, so we're going to wait til I can take him on a less crowded, less intimidating day. My little chicken man pretty much finds the good points of any ride and goes with it.

At 3 my DD was 42 inches tall! She is now 8 and nearing 5 ft. She is taller than her gandma! Although they can be tall enough for the rides, some are not emotionally ready for them. It works both ways too though, she would love to go in ball pits, and kids play areas like that boat one in DCA, but by 6 there was no way we could make her short enough to get on them (bend you're knees honey)!
Make sure the kids WANT to go on the ride, not just to go on it cause they are tall enough.

I agree. My son will be 4 in July and is just now 40 inches, he is average height.
My oldest is tall, he was 5 when we went in December, and made it fine for Indiana. Not sure how tall he is now.

Splash, Space, TOT and Soarin' all have 40 inch height requirements, Matterhorn is 35 inches.

Most 3yos are tall enough for Matterhorn. I was trying to picture my almost 4yo nephew on TOT...

I have a picture, of my kids screaming their heads off, terrified. LOL

My 5yo was tall enough for Indy last time, he rode it. When I asked if he saw such and such parts, he said he didn't see anything, had his eyes closed the entire time!

He's actually tall enough for the 40-inch rides as well (although just barely), but we haven't tried him on any of them yet...

From my own experience, all the stuff in Fantasyland. I also liked the Autopia, and kids'll most likely love the Astro Orbiter. (though I have fond memories of riding the Rocket Jets at about 5 or 6 years old.)

How about the canoes? My 4YO (soon to be 5YO) expressed interest, but I was unsure about it. Any thoughts? Thx!
