My daughter tried to play both of the "external" Pirates games that generate VMK codes today. I'm not talking about the pirates games within VMK, but the promotional games that came out about the same time as Dead Man's Chest.

One was the excruciatingly slow game that shows scenes from Dead Man's Chest and which generated codes for things like the Sparrow costume, the poster, the organ, etc.

The other was the one where you can win pieces of a ship.

She was able to play both games with no trouble, but when both of them got to the code generation point, instead of a code, the word "error" or "failed" appeared in the code line. The first game can still be accessed from VMK's website, which makes me wonder if the problem is on our end.

Has anybody tried to play these games lately? Do they give you a code? Thanks!

We haven't played it lately, I'll try it and let you know. I can tell you that all of the stuff we got from those games are not tradeable anymore. It's strange, you still have the items (organ, skeleton monkey etc.) but you can't trade them to anyone. My guess is it's not you, they are probably phasing it out.

I had trouble with the game thoe other nihgt.
The codes still work, and the prizes are currently only selling for five credits each.

Yeah, the stuff isn't really worth having unless you need it for your room.

Yeah, she wants the stuff for her room. She has some, but she's making a Neverland-themed series of rooms, and apparently needs more pirate stuff to bring her vision -- whatever the heck it is -- to life.

Well, I've hunted the game down (couldn't find it!) and it is doing some strange stuff, like taking ages to load etc...But it has given me a code...you can have it, it's s24e 8eqt rmm8 kdwk

Fear not, it wasn't a Sparrow outfit. (She woulda given it back to you if it was!) It was a Dead Man's Chest, which is apparently one of the things she needs for this Neverland thing.

Absolutely! If you happen to play and don't want them, that would be awesome! They're for my kidlet, who is working very hard to create a series of Neverland-themed linked rooms and needs a lot more pirate stuff.

We still can't get the external pirate games to generate codes for us, so she's given up on trying to get them.
