How did you do in the Mardi Gras Marathon?

We had a lot of fun, but not a "good time". My husband likes to join me for the races, but he doesn't train. He managed to run most of the first half, which was a pretty good accomplishment for him. We walked the rest, but at a casual pace, and finished in 6:09. They only had one portable bathroom per water stop, so the breaks were kind of long. The weather was beautiful, but as it got into the 70s, I didn't mind that my husband needed to walk!

I'm so glad I went and read that. Thanks for sharing it! Your comments about last year vs this year is exactly how Mardi Gras itself was, too!

We were surprised by the number of homes for sale along the marathon route. For sale signs on ruined homes in Mid City and Gentilly weren't surprising, but there were also many homes for sale along Esplanade, and in the Garden District.
