I hear disney representatives go to colleges and find future employees. I have always wanted to work for Disney, and I would love to work in animation or advertising (I would LOVE to be an imagineer). What colleges does Disney go to to hire new people?

Contact Disney about which schools where they recruit, and realize that EVERYONE you talk to might be a potential connection. Send thank you notes to everyone there who gives you a minute of their time.
Advertising, imagineering, and animation are each pretty specialized so you should start trying to do internships ASAP, and talking to people (and reading books and articles) about career paths in these professions.

More tips!
1. If you e-mail people, proofread more carefully than I did in my last post.
2. If you contact a people, don't tell them how scattered your interests are. For example, if you contact someone in advertising don't say, "Hi! I'm interested in advertising or animation."
3. Cal Arts is probably still a good school to go to for animation. If you want to animate start animating. If you are the best animator in your class at Cal Arts and win awards for your amazing short animated films you probably won't have too much trouble getting work. Also, be great at drawing. I know a former Disney animator who said that this is still seen an important skill by Pixar.
4. You want to so so good at your job that you can work anywhere. Many people have come to the conclusion that it is better to make money elsewhere and vacation with Disney than it is to work for Disney. And, of course, it's unlikely that Disney would have gone to work for Disney.:) Then again, I loved my brief time at Disneyland and I'm a bit jealous of those working at Disney Studios in Burbank.

LAST POST, I PROMISE! I just read this on a thread in the WDW section:
"My wife got me 'Walt Disney Imagineering: A Behind the Dreams Look At Making the Magic Real' by Imagineers for my birthday last year. I've read it many times. Great pictures/diagrams. I believe it touches on all the parks from DL, to WDW, to Tokyo, etc. Good backstories to the parks themselves and many of the rides."

If you go to the Imagineering (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Disney_Imagineering) article on Wikipedia, there are several links at the bottom to pages with internships, and tips on how to become an Imagineer.

Disney does quite a bit of recruiting for their college program. I'm not sure how much recruiting they do at any school for entry-level professional positions, outside of hopefully bringing over successful CP participants.

Thanks! I'm only 15, but I'll look into those internships and sites.
I also have that imagineering book, jcruise! I love all the art, and the info they give you about their jobs.

Since you are 15, you might want to look into online groups and even social groups in the field you are interested in. Remember Apple and Microsoft started with "computer clubs". If you can get involved in a club that fits your interests and carreer path, you might be able to meet some folks older who have better advice than we can give you here.
