Does anyone own one of these? Just curious if they are manageable, easy to get on/off the shuttle buses. DH worried they may be to bulky and a burden. But I really don't like the side by side umbrella strollers.

Yes, the wider side-by-side tandem strollers are a pain to deal with, at least for me. I used the single width tandem stroller, and it was much, much easier to manage twin boys.

kismet, which parks are you going to? Disneyland vs DisneyWorld makes a decent difference in the answer to that. WDW was built with much wider walkways than DL was. At WDW, you can actually rent double-strollers, but not at DL because of the side of the walkways (I believe that's the reason, anyway).

I HAD the Combi Counterpart tandem and sold it to get the side by side. I just couldn't push that thing around the mall, let alone a full day at a theme park. (But that is just me...I am spoiled by my all-terrain strollers that I can push with a drink in one hand.) :)

The Counterpart definitely is easy to fold, but big. The Combi SBS one folds twice, once down and then folds like a book to make it the size of a larger single stroller.

What are the age differences of the children? Can you do a "toddler" seat configuration, or do you need both children to be able to take naps?

ETA: The Combi side-by-side is pretty lightweight, but still "full featured." The basket is smaller (though bigger than it looks), but it does have full recline, a decent sun shade and cup holders.

Going to WDW. I had a side by side umbrella and it's okay but sometimes very difficult to manuever in the stores and crowds. Certainly can't do it with one hand. The one good thing was that it folded down to nothing and weighed very little. I have a 6 year, 4 year and 18 month old (well she will be 18months when we go). I am hoping the Tandem will be fairly easy to handle, thankfully my two eldest girls are pretty self sufficient.

I did contemplate renting but have found I really love the convenience of putting the children in the stroller while at the airport. Then I don't have to lo-jack them to keep track everytime I turn around. I never let them run anywhere, but they have this habit of being able to disappear behind legs and large luggage that gives me heart failure for the few seconds until I see them reappear.

Here's the best double ever.

http://www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Section_Id=9553&pcount=&pn=1&Product_Id=300126&sku1=k_s1_71601784&is_baby_depot=1

Easily pushed it and turned it with one hand, never found a door it wouldn't fit through, has 2 baskets, canopy and seperately reclining seats. Folds completely flat, is very, very light and is under $80.

It's the only double I ever used with my twins. I hate the front to back strollers. Those things are awful to push and you get fights over who has to sit in the back.
