Can somebody please tell me what ds and dd stand for? I know it has to do woth kids and I'm sure I'll feel really dumb once someone tells me..... anyway, just curious!!!

whose children are wonderful but definitely have their moments of "undarlingness"... It can also mean "Dear" DH means Dear/Darling Husband....

hmm... I get it now, but still, interesting adjective to use.

That makes more sense then what I thought it was. DH = Disney Husband... Not sure why but it always confused me. I never read this section so I guess its good that I stopped in. Thanks for enlightening me.

While I *know* that on the Internet DH means Dear/Darling Husband, my first though when I see it is *still* designated hitter. So after you and CP are married if she refers to you as her DH (I know, I know, she'd just say GD, work with me here) I'll think, hmm, I wonder who GD is playing for, and when did he get traded to the AL?

I just started reading another (medical) board, and let me just tell you, I am a changed woman. I've always sort of wondered why people needed a FAQ to tell them what DL and WDW meant, but now...yikes! After a night of BSLs and BCPs and HRTs and CTCs, I am COMPLETELY sympathetic to those who can't tell a DH from a DH. YKWIM?

Anyone every play the online game Acrophobia! One of the best games ever created. I was so sad when it died out :( Stupid Lycos. For the uninitiated, everyone in a room (a room was up to I think 16? people) got a set of letters (between 3 and 7) and a topic (like sports, or food, or general, etc). You had to come up with something that fit the category that the letters could stand for. Then there was a blind vote where each person in the room picked their favorite. You'd get points based on how fast you came up with yours and how many votes you got. So much FUN!!

Oh shoot, topic. Ummm, gosh, those ds and dd's must be really hard to tote around DLR for a day, huh?

dh can also mean "damn husband" as well as "darling husband" depending on your mood.......one of my faves is ROFLMAO...sometimes i like to say it as a word "rofflemayo"-yeah, i'm a dork!
i belong to a parenting message board and when we get together IRL (in real life) ;) we even say, "oh, zmommy-this is my dh, chad" i'm a dork but at least i'm not the only one!
