HI All,

I can't remember what Los Angeles news station I heard this on. Yesterday morning I could swear I heard one of the reporters say that Disney had announced they would be returning to the Hand Drawn animation for the next scheduled animated movie. Has anyone seen anything on this? If this is the case, I'm excited. I just feel that the computer animated ones don't have the same depth/feel as hand drawn classics.

They're doing 'Enchanted' which is live action and 2D, and then there's The Frog Princess and Rapunzel, which are coming out over the next couple of years.

"Repunzel" is CGI, but "The Frog Princess" will be the next hand-drawn film, most likely in 2009. It is still in the fairly early phase of production and is being directed by the team that did "Great Mouse Detective", "Little Mermaid", "Aladdin", "Hercules", and "Treasure Planet".

Personally, I thought it was better than Atlantis.

Bernice, you and I could draw stick figures on cocktail napkins with little dialogue bubbles and it would be better than Atlantis.

Lol! You know, We actually have a copy of Atlantis here, and I have no idea why!

Nor do I. That is one of those rare Disney films that I wouldn't even accept as a gift!

My dad was like 'this was a flop at the cinema, let's buy it!'...very odd!

LOL! I know I always head straight for the "flop" section at my local Best Buy!

:D How could you not when the flops are going to $9 and the good ones go for $25

Instead of "flop" I prefer to use the term "diamond in the rough." :)

I can't agree with that. That would mean it was a good movie, just looked over by many. I feel they are flops for a reason. (I'm talking about movies in general not just the ones mentioned above.)
