I never thought I'd consider having a stranger watch my kids - am I going to go to hell?;) . If there are services out there that exist, then I guess other poeple do it too. My kids are not old enough for the Pinocchio Workshop. We're staying at the GCH and hubby and I were thinking about popping downstairs for dinner at Napa Rose for a couple of hours.
Has anyone used the babysitting services lately at the DLR? Were you pleased? What is your opinion on getting a strange babysitter on vacation in your hotel room?
Thanks!!

Good questions! I'd like to see what others have to say. We are in the exact same situation and have the same fears. Primarily, strangers watching over my kids in a non-child-proof room, and secondly, strangers with your kids and all your personal belongings.
Did you see the prices, GCH only has 1 baby-sitting place to refer and you must sign a liability waiver. I suppose the prices aren't too unreasonable, $14/hour for 2 kids.

Not lately, as my kids are 17-21, but when the 21yo was 3 or 4, we hired one of the recommended sitting companies Disneyland Hotel recommended. It was actually great. It was an older woman who came to the room, she took the kids around the hotel grounds and they enjoyed it.
I didn't actually use the service, but had to look into it this past November when my schedule sitters dropped out at the last minute. I was @ the DLH for a convention w/ my kids, who are both under 5.
The service agency closed at 4:30pm and didn't reopen until after 9 the next morning, which was extremely unhelpful for me. I would have had to sign a waiver but I figured that the agency's workers would have been either bonded or had v. good references. I haven't heard of a bad experience. I'd be interested to know yours if you go ahead with it.
