View Full Version : What is the problem with the Haunted Mansion game?

I am so frustrated with the Haunted Mansion game!

My daughter needs only TEN ghosts to move on in the car quest. She had been trying for the yellow car, but gave up because she could never catch enough ghosts.

Today, I heard her getting so frustrated that she started crying. I watched her play, and saw why she was so annoyed -- she would catch 11, 12 or more ghosts (NOT including catching her opponent), but when it was time to go to Round 2, it would return her to the lobby and give her no credit for the ghosts because the game wasn't completed.

I signed on another computer with my character, and tried to play with her. My character (which was losing -- LOL) would go on to Round 2, but hers would be returned to the lobby every time.

I remember having similar problems with the fireworks game, and getting SO mad when it would return us to the lobby when we were supposed to go to the next level. When I posted about it, others agreed that this was an ongoing problem. At that time, someone suggested we try when there weren't so many people signed on to VMK.

This morning, there have been less than 1500 people on the whole time and we're still having this problem. I don't understand why they can't correct this.

I realize VMK is a free game, and that you get what you pay for, but it's Disney, and they're advertising it like crazy. It should work!

I would rather pay for the game, (we have been paying for ToonTown for several years), and have it work right than go through this frustration with my kid, who just wants to play the game and have it do what it's supposed to.

ARGH!

I think you should contact vmk and tell them about your frustration, see if they can suggest anything. The thing about the HM game is that if the other players leave, your game is over, ewhich is a bit unfair, because when that happens in pirates they put computer players in. I really can't t hink of anything else you can do, I really don't like this game either!

Contacting 'them' has ben a total waste of time. You get idiotic Form replies and then a cancelation of the complaint because the computer thinks they have solved your problem and cuts off the communication number and you start all over again.

It's a joke.

The only thing to do is go on the VMK forums and air your problems and maybe someone who has a hand in VMK will see it.

You are correct about it being Free and being less than user friendly. If there was a monthly fee the customer service would be equal to them getting paid to provide it.

Regardless, the people who work on VMK put a lot into it...just not into Customer Service.

Absolutely they do. Beautifully designed in every way with great attributes...maybe they can outsource customer care for a better visitor experience.

I am a day 1 bata player and
If you have more than one system in your home and one allows you to move one let her use that one to play mansion. unless vmk updates the programing this will always happen it is not your system. we have three systems in our home and only one allows us to play mansion. we even upgraded our main system to max memory and it still will not let us move from first round.
