I went twice to Universal studios hollywood 1-2 weeks ago. First time, the JP ride seemed quite tame - the only water that got us wet was the end part and a few dinosaurs inbetween spashing water.

Second time we went, practically all through the ride was water - ie in the beggining when you enter the big door, from the cave, all the dinosaurs etc..

also second time we went, the car fell down and splashed..it didnt do this the first time.

Do they change it depending on the weather? (although both times were reasonably good weather).. or was it broken?

I worked at USH during the contruction of the JP Ride and left shortly after it opened. To answer your question, YES, the amount of water splash during the drop is dependent on the weather. During the summer, you will get drenched. During the winter you will get a little wet but not to where you will be uncomfortable the rest of the day. If you ever do get to wet, just go to the Backdraft attraction and dry off.

Does anyone else notice a difference between the two JP's on each coast. I think the Hollywood JP is so much better. When i went to the one at IOA, something seemed cheeper or not as "grand" scale as the one at USH. Even the dinos seemed not as "real" as the ones in Hollywood.

Maybe its just me?

Its a good ride, but the dinosaurs (well most of them) just looked really cheap.

Its a good ride, I really wanna go on it again - but I think Ill be going to the IOA one next time i gotta america..
