Last night, we got home late and my daughter tried to log on to VMK to collect her credits from the non-playing characters. Twice, VMK went through the whole log on sequence, but both times, at the point she would have been taken to the map she instead got a notice that she couldn't sign in because VMK was closed. It displayed a message saying the game closes at 1 a.m. EST.
We live in PST, and received this message at 9:45 p.m. our time. That's 15 minutes before it's supposed to close.
This has happened to us before, which leaves me wondering -- why does VMK shut out log ins 15 minutes before scheduled closing? One could EASILY collect the day's credits in that time...

Is this a recent thing? Maybe its like when you go to places and they have a last admission time. Just a guess.

It's always been like that I think. I would try to log in 15 minutes before it closed just to get a day's worth of credits and couldn't. I guess it's because they are just trying to ween down on the number of players when it is close to closing. I really have no clue but that is what I always told myself lol

That is exactly what she was trying to do. We discovered something else that is good to know: I signed on at 9:30-ish, and got mine first. When she went to sign on to her character afterward, it wouldn't let her in, as I mentioned.
The next day, when I went to collect my credits for that day, it wouldn't give any. Apparently, if you get them after a certain time -- even though it's before closing -- they "rollover" to the next day. I have no idea what that cutoff time is, and was VERY surprised to find that out.
I e-mailed VMk to ask about this, but they haven't responded...

You have to wait 12 hours in between credits. So let's say you got yours at 9:30 the night before you would have to wait until after 9:30 the next morning. So if you play your cards right you can get 2 rounds of credits a day.

does that loophole still work? Someone told me they changed it a long time ago. But I have not tried to do it I'm luck to get on for an hour a day lately.

Yup.
Just happened that I got on early this morning to collect credits. My daughter talked me into signing on with my character to visit the New Years Eve "party" she was hosting tonight in VMK, so I decided to try it. I was able to collect credits again. It was the same game day, but more than 12 hours had passed.
Hey, that makes up for the day it wouldn't let me get them!:p
