Hi everyone,
My family is taking the Disneyland Resort Express Bus from SNA to the Disneyland Hotel. We are arriving around 9:40am on a Monday. Does anyone know how long it will take to get to the hotel and where the bus stops first?
I have a bladder disease and it's difficult for me to ride for very long without having to stop. I'm trying to figure out if it would be better if I took a cab.
Thank you!

Here is a link to the schedule and a discount coupon...

The first stop for the bus is the Disneyland Hotel, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes once you leave the airport.
And the bus does have a bathroom in it, here is a photo...

But you might want to think about taking a taxi, due to the difference in price.
A Taxi if $35 plus tip (flat rate) one way. So if your group is four or more, a taxi is cheaper.

Is that taxi rate $35 set by the cab Co. or is it negotiated with the driver ?
The taxi sounds like a better option as it goes directly to your hotel and you don't need to wait a half hour plus...

Oh, I see that is the SNA rate not the LAX rate...

The $35 rate is set by the Airport and the Taxi Commission (you need to ask for it).
In this case, both the bus and the taxi will be going non-stop from the airport to the Disneyland Hotel.
One factor might be the benefit of a restroom on the bus, it is up to the OP to decide what is best for her.

Thanks for such a quick response!
I'm so excited there is a restroom on the bus! We had the express bus included in our Disneyland trip so I believe it's already paid for?
Knowing that there is a bathroom on the bus just relieved a ton of stress! Thanks for the picture, Darkbeer!

My preference from John Wayne/Orange County/Santa Ana (SNA)
1. Rental Car - I think the convience is wonderful, and you can get a great price at Hotwire.com or Priceline. Just to be able to shop and visit other sites. One drawback, some hotels have a parking fee, but the Disney owned hotels and most of the hotels on Harbor near Disneyland do not have an extra charge to park the car (included in rates and resort fees, which everyone pays).
2. Taxi - Since the rate is low, unless you are by yourself or with one other person, a taxi is the next choice.
3. Disneyland Express Airport Bus - Well run, clean, good price.
4. The Shuttle Vans. It seems like I always get the driver that will drive around the airport multiple times to fill up the van, to the point you are squezzed into a bench seat with 2 or 3 other folks. (The Bus has Airline style seats, with an armrest). And of course, the Van has multiple groups that all want to go to different areas, usually with someone headed home, so you get the scenic route driving thru neighborhoods. Tends to be a few dollars more per person than the Disneyland Express Bus.
From Long Beach (LGB)
1. Rental Car
2. Taxi - $36 plus tip from the airport (flat rate). On the way back, no flat rate available, about $45 plus tip
3. Shuttle Van
(The Airport Bus doesn't serve LGB)
From LAX
1. Rental Car
2. Disneyland Express Bus
3. Shuttle Van
4. Taxi - This time, the Taxi is expensive, the basic rate is about $85 one way, but that is with NO traffic, on average, you are looking at about $100 plus tip each way.

Does the Disneyland Express to LAX pick up at any hotels other than the DLH?

Just our experience, but we asked for the flat rate from both the taxi driver that took us from SNA to DLH and from the driver who took us back to the airport from the hotel several days later and both said that there was no flat rate and that we had to go meter. It came out to $38 each way, so no big deal, and we didn't push the flat rate issue. Just wanted people to be aware that it's not as easy as just asking for the flat rate, as the drivers say no such thing exists. This was last week.
