My daughter is under 2, but she enjoyed POTC, so she's no wimp. Have any of you taken your kids (under 3 years old) to the "Aladdin" show at DCA and, if so, did they get anything out of it? Were they too scared? If they liked it, where should we try to sit?
And while I've got your attention, how did your wee ones enjoy TS Island? I know the restroom is not too family friendly, if I correctly remember the review on "Happiest Potties on Earth."

My boys really enjoyed Aladdin. There was enough music and dancing to keep them interested but we did bring fishie crackers and stayed near the exit just in case.
My boys like TS Island but our problem is tat it's too easy to lose one there so we don't go often. We tend to do Goofy's playground instead to let them run wild for a bit.

My 2 year old really enjoyed Aladdin and hadn't even yet seen the movie. It wasn't scary for her at all. We sat near the front (within 12 rows or so) and on the aisle in case we had to go in a hurry (we weren't sure she would like it). She loved the animals and music. She had a GREAT time!
I haven't been to TS Island since I was a kid so no info about that.
I hope you have a great trip!

We took my "wild one" to see Aladdin when he was just 10 months and he sat through it, which amazes me. I am hoping to take him to see it next week, he is now 3.
We took him to TSI when he was about 18 months and it wasn't crowded at all. We just had to keep great track of what cave he went in to, he had a blast following his big brother around.
I've found Tom Saywer Island promblematic with the little ones. Often they have a hard time negotiating the tunnels. Sometimes my kids have gotten frightened in the dark. Also, we innevitably encounter some older kids who don't play very gently, or carefully of the little ones.
The only part of the island I felt relaxed about was exploring the fort which is now closed.

Thanks mommyto2boys, aymiab, lauras4boys, and sbk!
Based on your advice I will hold off on TS Island and give Aladdin a shot. We're leaving in 9.5 hours so I better get to sleep! My Disneyland days with my daughter have been among the happiest days in both our lives. My wife will join us in two weeks!

It looks like this advice is too late for the original poster, but I don't think anyone here noted that Aladdin is relatively long for a theme park show. Anyone uncertain about whether or not their child can sit through this type of show might be wise to first try a shorter show like the Tiki Room, Turtle Talk, or Disneyland's Aladdin Storytelling to get an idea whether or not the child might be able to sit through a show at all. Our son generally wouldn't sit still for shows at all at age 2, although he is starting to be able to again.

My 2 year old daughter could not sit through Turtle Talk, but sat through the entire Aladdin show, so I guess it also depends on the child.
