Another last minute question, as we leave tomorrow morning (yay!). After my cruise is done (Sunday) can I check my luggage in to my airline at the port? I did not book my flight reservations with Disney, nor I am on their bus back to the airport. We have our own rented van. So still can I?

I have heard people talk about checking in their luggage at the cruise terminal. I am flying SWA and we don't leave until 6:55pm. So we wanted to go to Animal Kingdom during the day and kill some time, but hopefully without a car full of luggage.

Since I've taken their shuttles both times I'm not sure, but I think the checking in at the port might be a "perk" for those who've paid for the transfers.

You can only check bags at the port if you have paid for the Disney transfers. Otherwise, you have to take your bags with you and check them in at the airport.

Really? I have always heard of people using it w/o Disney tansfers. I know BAGS operates it and they don't work for Disney.

I know on our last cruise that they actually marked your room key card to indicate that you paid for transfers, and that they were checking for that when people were dropping off their bags.
