I was wondering if anyone has brought their child on the balcony for the Fantasmic priority viewing. Last year I called the priority seating phone number and the CM said that "they don't like kids on the balcony" and instead suggested we do the other priority viewing down by the water. This year we wanted to do the balcony (if we can get the seats), I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience when they tried to book it.
Thanks,
Alison:confused:

Alison:confused:The balcony seating is pretty tight. There is no room for moving around. If you get seated in the second row, there is a good chance she will not be able to see. My kids prefer the riverside area. Its calmer, there is room to move around, we have space for the dog, and they prefer the desserts there too.

Huh?? That didn't sound like a polite thing to say. Even if it were true.

We've taken our niece several times. She was 2 1/2 yrs. old the first time and did fine sitting on my lap. The last time, she was 7 yrs. old and again, had a great time. We were in the second row both times. I didn't pick up on a "no kids" vibes from the CMs at all (from the priority seating CM to the servers). It actually seemed like she did better with the more intense parts of the show being on the balcony.

I've never done the river-front seating so can't help you there.

Have a great time no matter what you do!!

River-front seating is really hard to get, especially when some *ahem* unpleasant people are around. It was hard for my little cousins, and even myself, to see well from standing unless you're the first one there. I think that it would be a good idea to let someone wait at a table about half an hour before, while the crowds not yet there. The rest of the group can go to Pirates or something.

I've done both the balcony and riverfront seating. The food that was offered was very different at each location. The food at the riverfront was much more "kid friendly" with paper plates and Mickey rice krispie treats. The balcony served on glass dishes with nice cloth napkins, but I didn't see anything that my kids would have eaten. I took my kids to riverfront, but I don't think I would have done the balcony with them, just my personal choice, there was definitely more room to move around at riverfront, plus my kids managed to spill beverages. Either place is great, and we managed to get tickets to riverfront the week we were planning on going. Balcony would never have been available like that.

Thanks for the replies, I think we are going to do the riverside priority seating. My little girl would much prefer the Micky Mouse krispy treats on paper plates. I would be very nervous with her trying to handle glass plates and the like on the balcony ;)
Plus the extra room is always nice, especially if she wanted to sit on my lap if she got scared. The last time we went last year she actually slept through the whole thing in her stroller and missed it! So this will be her first time actually watching it (if she can stay awake!)

My 20yo is claustrophobic and can't handle the tightness of Balcony. And the plates at riverside are plastic, not paper. Make sure she tries the shortbread cookies that are strawberry filled also.
