TheChock 10-28-2006, 10:03 AM Hey guys, I thought it would be fun to post our race numbers. I just got my packet in the mail today!!! Here's my number: 30178 Tink13.1 10-30-2006, 12:08 PM I'm still waiting for mine! Last year I got mine about 3 weeks after everyone else!! At least I can check out the brochure on-line, but it's not the same!! Hershey HockeyMom 10-31-2006, 07:17 AM Hi....6367 here....a big change from the 27000+ in last year's half marathon...maybe I'll actually get to see the starting fireworks instead of watching the playback on the jumbo-tron!! mousedreamer 10-31-2006, 03:02 PM Still waiting, Does anybody know how they mail out the packets? Is it like in alphabetical order? From your registration date? By your bib # ? Just wondering. TheChock 10-31-2006, 05:21 PM Does the number correlate with the start corral/wave at all or is it just random? Tink13.1 10-31-2006, 07:25 PM Does the number correlate with the start corral/wave at all or is it just random? Last year the corrals were set up by race number. The placement is not listed in the race book that is mailed out, but it is in a much smaller brochure that is in the race packet you pick-up at the expo. I don't know how the 1/2 marathon will be handled this year with the wave start - But....last year the last corral (H) started with 29,001. Of course, this does not mean there will be 29,000 people ahead of you, because last year the 1/2 marathon numbers started with 15,000 (except for the elite runners I think). HTH, Mara TheChock 10-31-2006, 10:16 PM So I'm guessing I will be in the last wave (since my number is in the 30,000's)... that's too bad, I didn't want to start a whole half hour late. Oh well, thanks for the info! stan4d_steph 11-01-2006, 12:09 PM I have no idea what my number is, but I bet I'll be at the back of the marathon start. I've heard that's usually where most of the Team in Training people go unless they have a previous fast finish time. Tink13.1 11-02-2006, 10:10 AM I have no idea what my number is, but I bet I'll be at the back of the marathon start. I've heard that's usually where most of the Team in Training people go unless they have a previous fast finish time. Did you get your race packet yet? That's where your bib number is. I don't know about TNT being at the back of the pack either...it seemed like we passed a good number of TNT walkers about 5 miles into the 1/2 marathon last year, so they probably started several corrals ahead of us. stan4d_steph 11-02-2006, 10:30 AM Did you get your race packet yet? That's where your bib number is. No. I just filled in my registration form last week. jdee 11-05-2006, 05:08 AM No. 30745 checking in! RunninDisney 11-10-2006, 02:53 PM I'm # 22924 for the half and #4839 for the full. Thats right, i'm doin the Goofy's Challenge. My wife is doing the half. She's # 27,???. I ran the full last year, and the half the year before that. I love it. I plan on doing it every year. I haven't done it with TNT, but I did do it with the Train to End Stroke. TNT has A LOT of people there. Some start in the front, some in the back. It all depends on what time you put down on your guesstimation of your finish time. You'll love being part of TNT for your first marathon. You will have crowd support all along the course. This is my first post, btw. I'm getting giddy just thinking about the run. Its my favorite marathon. mousedreamer 11-11-2006, 07:07 AM WELCOME! Hadn't got my packet yet, and was worried because I had changed my address to a post office box. The change of address form on the Marathon site, wouldn't let me submit. I finally got a hold of Disney and they said that the first mailing went out on Oct. 16th and finished on Oct. 20th. There will be another mass mailing mid to late November. So for any one that hasn't got there packet there still is more comming.
