i'm gonna ask again in case anyone who has an answer might not have noticed my post before - any idea on crowds for the weekend of nov 2 - nov 4?

My best guess: Nov 2-4 weekends always busy

Nov 29-30 Thursday pretty good, that friday, weekends always busy HIT DCA.

Since Halloween will be over and decorations coming down, all of the Fall breaks will be over, and Thanksgiving break will be coming shortly, that weekend is usually fairly light compared to a regular weekend. There won't be a lot of out-of-town tourists because schools are mostly all in sesssion at that point. Weekends are busier than weekdays in general, but I think you'll find pretty light crowds.

What kind of crowd should we expect for December 6-11, Thursday through Tuesday? Will Thursday, Monday & Tuesday be slow weekdays with walk on rides, or because it is December, will it be crowed even during the week? Is it correct to expect big crowds over the weekend? How would it compare to Columbus Day weekend?

It's very slow. I think if you read back a little ways this week was discussed

Its so hit and miss in December, we have always gone the first week and during the weekdays have the park to ourselves. The park starts filling up around dusk, people pouring in to watch the parade and the fireworks. But it doesnt seem to affect the rides, just plugs up main street. It is still relatively slow, just not quite like the "old days". :).

Don't know if this will help anyone. But we were there last weekend (Oct 11-15) and the crowds were medium. It rained lightly a few of those days, but that didn't seem to stop anyone. It wasn't summer-like crowds, but it was heavier than it was last year at this time. Nemo was 60 minute wait at opening.

Not to bad, if you take advantage of fastpasses (maybe ridemax).

My 2 cents. Hope it helps.

DisneyMommy actually already addressed that issue earlier in this page.

I have no idea how I missed that  thanks!

October used to be a pretty slow season. We went in Oct. in 98,99,2000 (I think) and it was very slow. Now with Fall breaks and Mickey's Halloween treat and all the decorations it is very popular & busy. I know of 8 families just at our school (Gilbert) that were at DL last week. I am guessing the big 50th has helped bring in a lot of business year round.

Thanks for calling scottware disneyMommy, I have been wondering about the accuracy. That would be great if he updates it!

So anyone venture to guess how the crowds will be this week/weekend? I'll be there Oct 24th-28th. I'm trying to be prepared...

I am going from November 23-29th. Does anyone know what time the park closes on those days and also what shows are? I have two daughters ages 7 & 9. What character breakfasts are worth the $$?:)

My family really enjoyed the Minnie & Friends Breakfast. Good food, well worth the price. I haven't done any of the others though, so I have nothing to compare it to.

I'm thinking about a 1 day trip Sunday Oct 28. Hopefully all fall breaks will be over and nothing else will be going on. It will be the last weekend of Halloweentime, will that make a difference? Anything else I don't know about? We went on Sunday Sept. 30th and crowds weren't bad at all. I was hoping for the same.

We are planning our third family trip to Disneyland. We don't mind some rain, shorter hours or having to be sure to be there on a weekend night so that we can see Fantasmic! However, we DESPISE long lines!

We are wondering if there is any anticipated difference in crowds for the 5 days startin Tuesday January 29 or Tuesday February 5th. A couple of hotels had higher rates the week of Feb 5th, so I wondered if something special was happening that week. I also see that Friday Feb 1st is unofficial Homeschooling Day.

If anyone has a crystal ball... or could make an educated guess, I would appreciate the advice.

Either one would be really slow... Homeschool day last time was aroun 300 people, you won't even notice them.

We were there the first week of February this year and crowds were pretty decent all week. I also despise long lines. I can get irritated REALLY easily when crowds are heavy (I will never go again during summer or Spring Break for that reason), so if I think the crowds were good that week, you probably will too.

Never been the last week of January, but my guess is it's probably not all that different from the first week of February.

I think you will be great. You picked a little "pocket" of quiet time. Weekends always a bit more crowded but you said you expected that. MLK Jr. day is the week before so that won't matter. Bring warm clothes, it may be clear but cold.

have fun

I know that historically, February is slow. We're planning on going around feb 26th to the 2nd or 3rd of march, to be there for my birthday (YAY!)

But, my concern/wonder was, with all of the fires in Cali (besides the concern for everyone's well being! I hope they get a handle on things soon :( ) and people cancelling/postponing their trips, will February suddenly become busy? And are there any American holidays around this time frame? Any info would be wonderful :) thanks!

I think if anyone postponed a trip they would probably try to hit the holidays. I think you are overthinking it a bit. Have fun...

I don't think you need to worry too much about it. This past week is usually a very slow week in the park to begin with, no holidays or school vacations much to speak of, so there were not likely too many people postponing trips. Also, our airports were never closed, the roads to Disneyland never affected, and the parks and hotels were never closed, so I think most people that were coming from out of town just carried on with their vacation plans, it was more likely locals who stayed away because they were worried about their homes.

February is not totally a slow month though. There are slow times during Feb, but between Washington's bday and the Monday after Lincoln's bday the crowds get pretty big. I think by the time you go it should be pretty reasonable though.

Well I am expecting it to be busy the week after Thanksgiving at the parks this year. I was just told by the CM at Disney Reservations that all three resort hotels are sold out November 23-Dec. 1. Funny he seemed really shocked by that.

Maybe because of the AP rates is the reason they are sold out.

Anyone know what the crowds are like this week? If I remember correctly there are a lot of Utah schools out right now due to UEA. I am just curious if it has impacted the crowds. We will be coming up Oct. 31st for 5 days.

I'm so bummed about this--I thought it would be a fairly mellow time (especially since the park has shorter hours). Yesterday I was able to add a room at the DLH to our existing reservation, so some rooms are shaking loose.

I really am too. I'm sure the AP rates had a lot to do with it. Glad to hear you got to add your room.
