Hi, I'm being considered for a position with the park and I'm trying to find info on specific benefits. Does anyone know about health and maternity benefits? How long you have to work there before taking leave, whether you have job security during leave and for how long, whether leave is paid....I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the info. Thanks!

Which park are you talking about? I'm not sure, but due to collective bargaining agreements, those sort of thing might be different between states (or even countries).

How about contacting the casting department at whatever park you're considering joining? They should have all of that info.

I did look all through the website with the corporate info and perks. It just generally listed things, it didn't have any specifics. I did think about contacting the casting department, but I was a little concerned that my doing that might raise a red flag since I'm mostly interested in maternity benefits. I just thought I would try this route first. The job is for Disneyland, CA.

I wouldn't think it would raise a red flag. You're not asking about anything untoward or shady, and Disney is one of the most family-friendly companies out there. If you're "afraid" of them before even taking a job, maybe you should reconsider whether their culture is really a good match for you!

I only meant that I didn't want them to think I was intending to get the job and immediately get pregnant or something. I'm certainly not afraid of them, but I wouldn't want something silly like these kind of questions to weigh against me in whether or not I get the job.
