I really want to stay at the Candy Cane Inn, but it's a bit $$ for me at the moment. Has anyone stayed at the HOJO's with a toddler?
My concern is that we have a stroller and need to go back and forth for naps and meals and would like to use a shuttle or quick walk if possible. Does HOJO's have their own shuttle like CCI?
How long would it take to walk their from DL? I have heard that by the time you sit around waiting for a shuttle, you could walk to some hotels.
I live in SoCal and have never spent the night in Anaheim before, so this is all new for me!

Yes, we have. We've been staying at the HOJO since my oldest was 2 and my youngest was an infant (he's now 3).
We've always walked to and from the HOJO with a stroller, which takes us about 5-7 minutes from the DLR entrance. An easy walk, IMHO. I often walked back to the hotel with my DS when he needed a nap. The walk back was also nice because the stroller ride usually put him to sleep. The HOJO crib is a portable crib, NOT a "Pack and Play" like the DLR hotels. We used the HOJO crib once, but usually brought our own PNP for DS to sleep in it. You can PM me if you want a more in-depth review of the crib.
The HOJO doesn't have a free shuttle, but it does have the ART, which is about $3/day per adult (kids free). The HOJO is the first stop on the ART route which allows you first picks for seats when you're going to the park. It's also nice when you're going home because you get off first when you're heading back to the hotel. We've only taken the shuttle back once. Yes, it can take just as long to get back to the hotel if you wait around for the shuttle vs. walking. The advantage to taking the shuttle is that you can give your legs a rest if you need it.
The HOJO has a nice pool area for toddlers and the room we usually stay in is very roomy and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

We just stayed at the HOJO in August with our 2 year old and LOVED it! The rooms were nice, the staff helpful. The walk was only 5-7 min and not a problem - and I was 6 months pregnant in summer heat! Your toddler will LOVE the pool - it is only 1.5 feet deep. They also have a water play area. It was a great place to stay.

We have been staying at HoJos since my now 5yo was 1yo. It is a great hotel, we stay there 2-3 times a year. We get the exact same room, ground floor in building 2, Willie gets it all set up for us.
I do prefer to use a PNP rather than their cribs, however, the last time we went, my youngest was 2 1/2, and he slept ok in the crib they had. I just put some extra padding in it, as the mattress is not very soft.
The walk is not bad, and my kids always fall asleep. We don't go back for naps, just let my youngest nap in the stroller. The hotel says the walk takes 8 minutes.
