We are planning to visit family in the San Diego area for Thanksgiving and I am considering a day at Universal Studios. I assume it will be busy but I'm wondering how busy (compared to Disneyland for example)? I notice that the FOTL pass is not valid for Nov 24-25, is that because the park is simply too overcrowded? Would Sunday, Nov 26 be a good option since I could get the FOTL for that day? Thanks!

Close to half the number of people as Friday or Saturday of that weekend.

But you can get a Front of Line pass for Friday or Saturday. It'll just cost more and won't be available until closer to that weekend.
