What do you guys think of 4 year old kiddos at USH? I will be in LA next month and my four year old is now coming with me. I went to Disneyland last month and a friend was going to join me and we had planned to go to USH...so now I have two tickets (got them for only $37 each - and they are for APs!!) for USH and wondering if it would be ok for him? Obviously there are height requirements - he's 44 1/2 inches tall.

Any advice or suggestions?

Most of Universal does tend to be aimed at somewhat older visitors, but it does have the Nickelodeon play area, which our nearly 3-year-old absolutely loves. It includes a large water area (there is a changing area and lockers, so bring swimwear for the kid) as well as a dry outdoor play area and a big indoor area with all kinds of devices for shooting around little foam balls.

The Shrek 4D movie might also appeal to a 4-year-old, although some of the humor might be a bit borderline for that age. If you have seen the movies, the humor is very similar.

Otherwise, a lot of how your kid will react probably depends on how brave he is, but the attractions at Universal do tend to be pretty intense. Even the attractions that don't have height restrictions, including the tram tour, could be pretty traumatic for a skittish child.
