We are going to WDW in February with DD who will be almost five and a DS who should be around 3 1/2 months. I got a lot of great advice on the Contemporary versus the Poly (the Poly won mainly because of the peaceful, tropic setting after hitting the parks all day.)
Does WDW have 2 person strollers? One that will fit our 2 children? We were contemplating buying a 2 person stroller, but the only time we would need it is for trips requiring a lot of walking.
Thoughts anyone?

You can rent two-person strollers at all the parks. The styles differ, but they can hold a fairly large child. My eight year old still comfortably fits in one, and rides when she gets tired. The child has to be able to sit upright-they are not appropriate for infants. You only need one rental per day, and you can use the ticket if you go to any other parks that day. Consider buying (I've seen them for sale at Epcot), or bringing an umbrella stroller for times when you are not at a park, for the younger child-at the airport, if you are flying, or for around the hotel.

To add to what M22G said, there is no padding on those rental strollers, so you may want to bring a blanket for them to sit on. In Feb, they may need them to keep warm anyhow.... :)

when our littlest was still little, we went to walmart and bought a 12.99 umbrella stroller so we could tote her back and forth to the busses and such while the older one walked - when older one got tired in park - we rented a single for her. It was nice to have the umbrella for outside the parks, but a double would have been tough since you have to take everything out and fold it up on the busses. ALTHOUGH you are staying at polynesian which is monorail - I don't think they make you fold it up on the MR unless it is super crowded. ?? We felt good about the umbrella cuz if we decided to leave it behind and not carry it back on the airplane, we still got our money's worth for it.

Your baby will need his own stroller. At that age he will still be sleeping (hopefully) most of the time. You may also want to bring a carrier (baby bjorn or snugli-type) for times when you can't bring the stroller in.

We have brought an umbrella stroller in the past as a "just in case" situation and it was great because we used it way more than expected. It's light and folds up easily...the double strollers to rent are nice, but can be difficult to maneuver in crowds. and if you rent one, tie something around the handle so it's easy to identify. The CM's tend to park the strollers neatly when you are on a ride or in a show and coming out can be a surprise to search for that stroller......

Bring you infant stroller and his snuggli carrier. That way when you dd get tired you can carry ds in snuggli and she can ride in stroller.

I'll have to second this one. Sleeping in the rented strollers just isn't very likely. Do you have your own double stroller? We have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and our double is the only stroller we have.
It's a hassle on buses though which is the #1 reason to rent. Next time though I think we're going to be trying out the umbrella stroller idea.

We'll be taking our double for our 2 DSs who will be 7 (during our trip :) ) and 5. We used them all last year at DL and I couldn't imagine them making it the entire trip without it. Our now 6 y.o. is little for his age (the 5 y.o. is an inch taller than him) and has a heart defect so he gets tired more easily than most kids his age. Plus, they are both just so slow  . Walking around the mall with them not in the stroller drives me crazy. But I also like having the stroller to put water and snacks in. I am so not into the whole backpack thing. Plus, buying water and snacks for 6 people is expensive. Is there anyone that you know that you could borrow a double stroller from? With that big of an age gap you probably won't use it that much in regular daily life to justify the cost, but it will definitely be worth having it at WDW. I would say a definite must!

Thank you everyone for the advice! One less thing to worry about! I really like this advice. Would have never had thought about it!:)
