We did a package deal through Disney and included a day at the San Diego Zoo in the package (including transportation). When we got our packet, it said to call Gray Lines and set up a time for them to pick us up 48 hours in advance.
Anyone used the service? Do we need to set up our time with them ASAP or wait until two days in advance? Will they get us there early if we want that?

We used gray line in August. You will be picked up by a bus at a set time (theirs) at your hotel or at a stop near it. You will be taken to the bus station with everyone else taking a bus tour that day. There you will get your ticket for your specific attraction and will get on the tour bus going to your specific attraction. The bus will pick you and your fellow travellers up at a specific time and take you back to the front door of your hotel.
We actually enjoyed our tours. It was nice to not have to fight traffic or consult maps. The buses were clean and comfortable, and we had friendly bus drivers.

We just used them on our last trip up to Universal Studios and had a great day. Our driver, who also said that he was a former DL cast member, was very imformative about every location that we passed on the way and gave us alot of helpful tips for our day at USH.
They seemed liked a very realiable company and I wouldn't have any doubts traveling with them again.
