May 15-20. USF/IOA here we come! ( Just the wife and I) Made some last minute changes. Instead of staying at Ameisuites Universal, Now staying at PORTIFINO on site. Found out about
Entertainment.com and got the card and the lowest rate available
which was $180 for Deluxe pool view. Yeah its almost 3 times
price of the rate I had at Amerisuites, but you only live once,
and front of line to all rides RULES. The Hotel really looks awesome from what Ive seen on the web.


Any last minute Tips?

Go to Pleasure Island for nightlife rather than CityWalk! (Although that's easier said than done since you can walk from the Universal clubs to your hotel and you'd have to drive from Disney...)

Well I plan to put entertainment card to use at House of Blues
at Downtown Disney one of the 4 nights we are there, so maybe
we can check it out. We really arent much on nightlife. Our trips
are usually short and by the time we get out of the parks its
eat and crash.

Iceman you really are anti USF/IOA, lol.

But the Portofino looks awesome. We are not used to treating
ourselves to such a luxurious place (well Luxurious for us).
But I think next Disney Trip. (which may be a couple years)
I want to do Boardwalk. Found a way to get it pretty cheap,
renting DVC pts. I like the location of it (near Epcot). It would
be either that or Swan/Dolphin.

Yes! Go to WALT DISNEY WORLD! (I'll be there May 12th through May 18th, staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.)

Let me know how Portofino is, I am staying there one night.

We just went to Disney in Nov, so we are only going one day to park hop a bit. We have lunch reservations at Emerils for one day as well. Ill let ya know about Portofin GailT!
