Mousesavers now has a newsletter for weddings and vow renewals. I was just looking at it, because I would love to do a vow renewal ceremony for our 25th anniversary. You can do everything from a simple, small ceremony, with a cake cutting, for a couple thou to the extravaganza featured on a Food Network special (which, if memory serves, was at least $75,000). I think they could refer you to a rabbi.

I'm always joking with my two dd's saying, "Someday when Mom and Dad have a million dollars, you girls can get married at WDW and then we can go with you on your honeymoon!" ;)

At this age they say, "SURE! You can come with us!"

Renew your vows......hmmmmmmmm, I wonder how much.......:)

Just ordered a Disney Wedding DVD

Am I the only guy who would do this? I really want to see what its like to have a wedding at disney. Ive always wanted to have a wedding there, its been a huge part of my life and i think it would be awesome to have a wedding there. And so does my girlfriend.

Is there anyway to be able to have a rabbi perform the ceremony? and vice versa with other denominations?
OK, it's been ten years and my memories are fuzzy, but....when we were planning our wedding down there, it was all done over the phone. (We are from PA.) So, my wedding planner sent me contacts of all of services down there. I got lists of clergy, photographers, videographers, tuxedo rentals, etc. I then contacted them and made my arrangements. I think you'd be able to have a rabbi perform the ceremony. We were told it could be a religious ceremony or civil union, whatever we preferred. Our wedding was very small and intimate. Only nine people were there. My SIL and cousin were my maids of honor and my husband's dad was his best man. Of course, everyone stayed around Disney for our honeymoon. We just went back the next year for the "real" honeymoon.;)

Nope. I did as well. Mrs. GusMan and I were wondering not just for the sheer curiosity of things, but just in case we wanted to do a vow renewal or the like.

Great video... lots of options...looks like a dream wedding come true.
But it does come with a hefty price tag.

I would make sure you can get a rabbi, if that's important to you, sooner rather than later. Although Disney says you can have a civil or religious ceremony - I know not ALL religions will perform ceremonies at Disney. The Roman Catholic Church, for one, considers marriage a sacrament that belongs in a church, and not "in a theme park".

Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings is the official program through which you must plan weddings and vow renewals at Walt Disney World Resort. There are two types of events offered: Intimate and Custom.
Disney, apparently, has it's own web site, devoted to its Fairy Tale Weddings program, but a there is a summary, from the new Mousesavers newsletter:

Intimate Weddings & Vow Renewals

Intimate Weddings and Vow Renewals are limited to a maximum of 18 guests, plus the bride and groom. 2007 prices start at $2950 (plus service fees and tax).

Custom Weddings & Vow Renewals

Custom Weddings and Vow Renewals are for events with ten or more guests. For a price, you can get just about anything your heart desires. Prices start at $10,000 (plus service fees and tax).

There are a lot of links on the newletter, with specific information on locations and costs for specific services, and anyone with an interest should sign up for the newsletter. As far as finding a rabbi, I assume that it would be relatively easy to find a Reform rabbi, very difficult to get an Orthodox rabbi, and a Conservative rabbi would be a maybe.

As long as you keep him on a DVC schedule-Sunday through Thursday, and send him home Friday morning.

My rabbi from my reform temple said he would preform my ceremony if i decided to get married in disney but he made me agree to pay for his tickets into the park lol
