We went to ToonFest yesterday (Sat.) with friends -- it was SO much fun! Not too crowded, and so many activities we were going every second.
We arrived shortly before it opened, stayed until the very end, and were busy constantly. They had games for the kids (and gave AWESOME ToonTown pins as prizes for each game -- whether the kids "won" or not); question-and-answer sessions, many photo opps (including some with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Pluto in addition to the cogs); online racing and scavenger-hunting competitions, animation classes, a costume parade/contest, and so much more. They also had behind the scenes discussions about ToonTown, but we were never able to make time to get into one, doggone it!
My daughter won one of the costume awards, and they gave her a ToonTown backpack stuffed with prizes, including several Disney DVDs. They were very generous, and everybody seemed to go way out of their way to make sure everybody was having fun.
It must have been a tremendous amount of work for them, but they did an incredible job and the whole thing was very well organized. A definite success, in my opinion! :)
