The Disneyland VoluntEARS Walk Team will be participating in the 16th Annual AIDS Walk Orange County on Sunday, June 2nd at the campus of UC Irvine. This is the forth year the VoluntEars have participated, and the second year that Disneyland Annual Passport holders have been invited to participate. Disneyland has created a collectible, tradable, cloisonné pin to support this effort.
All VoluntEARS Walk Team participants that raise/contribute at least $50 to AIDS Walk Orange County will receive a limited-edition, 2002 Disneyland Resort VoluntEARS Walk Team exclusive cloisonné pin. The front of the pin has the text "Disney VoluntEARS", with a subset of "Disneyland Resort Walk Team" – text on the bottom of the pin reads "AIDS WALK 2002" – the first time an official Disneyland Resort pin has ever been printed for this event. The back is stamped "2002 Walk Team Exclusive". The face of the pin has a white background, and shows the "character shoes" of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy, all in walking motions, with Goofy walking in the wrong direction.
The pin distribution will be limited only to people actually participating in the walk, and you must register either on the web site or phone line PRIOR to the event to qualify for a pin. Walk Team participants will also receive a free Disneyland Resort VoluntEARS t-shirt when they check in before the walk.
The second pin in this series is being designed for CHOC Walk in the Fall - so it will become a running series of pins commemorating their VoluntEARS group's effort in the community
Annual Passholders and their friends and family can register for the event at www.aidswalk.org/oc. Click on the "register here" link, and go to the "join an existing walk team" section. Supply the requested information – select "Disneyland Resort VoluntEARS" as your walk team. Be sure to list yourself as an "Disneyland VoluntEARS - Annual Passholder" on the pull-down menu to qualify for the pin.

For almost sixteen years, AIDS Walk Orange County has been raising awareness and much-needed funds for the fight against HIV and AIDS. Since 1986, this 10-kilometer pledge walk has raised nearly $7 million for charitable agencies which provide food, housing, medical services, transportation, home care, legal services, HIV testing, mental health counseling, support groups, as well as prevention, education and scientific research programs.
For the last four years, the Disneyland Resort has been a strong supporter of AIDS Walk Orange County. As an Annual Passholder, you have the unique opportunity to join the Disneyland Resort VoluntEARS Walk Team in this worthwhile endeavor, and join us in giving back to the community!
All Disneyland Resort VoluntEARS Walk Team participants will receive one (1) VoluntEARS T-shirt on the day of the event to commemorate their participation in the walk!
