Back at the beginning of the year we were discussing frozen foods (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=52529&highlight=frozen).

I've recently tried some of the new Kashi frozen dinners, and find them to be quite tasty. I like the Pasta Pomodoro and the Southwest chicken. I think I've tried every one except the vegetarian option, black bean mango. That one has more calories than the others.

I also recommend the new Lean Cuisine brick oven pizzas. I think the garlic chicken is better than the bbq chicken, but they're both good.

Anyone else tried these or any other frozen meals/foods recently?

Good to know about the Kashi meals and LC brick oven pizzas--I'll have to check them out. I usually get whatever's on sale, but I prefer Lean Cuisine (Thai Chicken is a favorite) to Smart Ones or anything else. I've tried a couple of South Beach meals but haven't really been impressed.

I did try the LC Panini sandwhiches thanks to the old thread - but I don't think the Kashi entrees are available in my area - I went to their store locator (here (http://www.kashi.com/storelocator.aspx)) and put in my zipcode and selected each of the entree options, and get an error. It's like their code can'd handle a 'Sorry, you're out of luck' option.

At the supermarket I go to regularly, the Kashi meals weren't with the other frozen entrees, but were with the other specialty frozen foods.

I found a couple of the Kashi's at my local store and tried one for lunch today. Lemon Rosemary Chicken. It was pretty tasty, but does have the whole-grain in it, so if you don't like that little bit of 'crunch', I don't recommend it. I also have the Lime Cilantro Shrimp in the freezer at home for lunch, maybe tomorrow.

I also wanted to add I've tried the whole wheat Lean Pockets and they're pretty good, and since they have a little more fiber, they're fewer Weight Watchers points then the other lean pockets.

Yum! Love those Panini's. Chicken club is a favorite. As for other frozen meals, I'm a lean cusine person. The only Smart Ones I like is the southwest rice and beans(something like that). I put salsa and cheese on top and then eat it with a serving of baked tortilla chips. Last longer that way.

Other lean cuisines I like: baked chicken, meat lasagna, herb roasted chicken and beef tri tips. I don't eat them all that often(a couple of times a month) due to sodium concerns, but they are nice to have as a back up.
