I have to add Lone Star's "Mr. Mom" to the list for that reason ;)

I love that video. Another great song with a great video: "Whiskey Lullaby" Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss.

Hope this link works CMT Brad Paisley (http://www.cmt.com/loaded/player.jhtml?vid=59045&paid=760526&channelID=21&gateway=artists&s0=artists&s1=az&s2=paisley_brad&refURL=/artists/az/paisley_brad/videos.jhtml&adPth=/sitewide/ads/adsetup/artists/&adPN=videos)

I'm not a huge country music fan, but I've gone through phases when I've listened to quite a bit of it. A few of my favorites are "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride (although crying so hard you can't drive is not generally a good thing), "Love Can Build a Bridge" by the Judds, and "I Still Believe in You" by Vince Gill. Although it's been played to death, I still like Trisha Yearwood's version of "How Do I Live."

I love George Strait's The Chair. I just love his voice, so anything he sings is good.

For fun songs I like Toby Keith. Beer For My Horses always makes me smile.

On that note I love "When I Get Where I'm Going" with Dolly Parton.

Just catchin' up on the thread-really sad that KZLA changed their format. "Back in the Day"-that was all I listened to. Here in CO, we have no problem getting country music stations. Now, getting them to play anything that ISN'T top 40, is a challenge.

Favorite country song of all time? Oh, gosh-too hard. There's so many!

Can I do a top 5?

In no certain order: Tennessee Flat top box-Rosanne Cash; The Whiskey Ain't Workin'-Marty Stuart; Real Live Woman-Trisha Yearwood; Somebody Like You-Keith Urban(yeah, the video doesn't hurt:D )

Current favorite: Boondocks-Little Big Town-their harmonies are fabulous!

Alan Jackson's "Remember When". That song decribes the life my wife and I have had so far. Almost as if he interviewed us for the inspiration.

It just crossed my mind. What about "I'm Looking for Something in Red" by Lori Morgan? That song always makes me tear up.

"When You Say Nothing At All" by Allison Krause. It is a remake of Keith Whitley's song, but I love this version. It is the song DH and I consider "our song."

I would have to say that is my favorite, but there are many others running a close second!

I used to be into country A LOT more. I like more of the "older" country than most of the recent (though I LOVE the Dixie Chicks newest cd). My first cd I ever bought was John Michael Montgomery because I loved his song "Life's a Dance." When I started buying more, it seemed that country was all that I was buying.

These are some of my all time favorites: (and each bring back a lot of memories)
~Life's A Dance (John Michael Montgomery)
~Someone Else's Star (Bryan White)
~One Boy, One Girl (Colin Raye)
~I Like It, I Love It (Tim McGraw)
~Chattahoochie (Alan Jackson)
~From This Moment (Shania Twain and Bryan White)
~pretty much ANYTHING by the Dixie Chicks
~pretty much ANYTHING by Patsy Cline

I know there's more, but it's late for me and I'm drawing a blank :)

Allison's voice is a gift-no question. But, for me, Keith's version is hauntingly lovely and by far my favorite. I usually prefer songs done the way I hear them for the first time. Like Joe Diffey "My Give a D@mn's Busted" over Jodee Messina's version.

Back to regularly scheduled programming-happy dance here-new Keith Urban album(ok, CD) out in early November! Whoo-ooo:D
