If you have been on vmk since last year or more plz tell me you have noticed that the whole web site has lost its magic, For most of the people on VMK are all about being taken which is one of the stupid things that has happened on VMK, most of the people are being really bragy about how rich they are and being really stupid it sounds really harsh I know but its the truth and its really making the game suck... thats all, and thats my opinion :| :fez:

My husband has been there since beta and I joined shortly after beta. I do not play as much anymore I find playing in small doses helps. I hate the taken thing and the bay be. It is like being back in high school, which for me was not all that great. I mostly play for cards. We are missing only one card the white snowman and when we get it we will have a complete set so far. So yes I agree a little magic has been lost but I try very hard to ignore not so bright people.
I hope you can enjoy the game again, when I get on I do.

I agree. The game was very fun in the beta days but now it has changed but I also have just gotten tired of the gameplay. I don't go on very often anymore but sometimes it is still fun to check in.

That is one of only three complaints I have about VMK -- the constant "Are you taken?" conversations is definitely the biggest. My little girl finally put something like "Not interested in the boy-girl thing; don't ask" in her member info and people have pretty much left it alone.

My other two complaints are the (ahem) ample chests on the girl clothes (sorry; I'm the mother of a pre-teen and just don't think it goes with a Disneyland-themed game) and the fact that so many online quests now require participants to score 150,000 or more in the fireworks game. Even playing together we can't score over about 50,000, so she simply can't complete these quests. That's so frustrating!

I agree, the taken thing is annoying, but people don't tend to bother me personally. Also, I think the only costumes for girls that have rather large chests are the cheerleader outfits, the others aren't that bad. And about the quests, I can manage fireworks ok, but when you have to catch so many ghosts in the HM game, I've had it!:rolleyes: They need to created more knowledge based quests, I think:)

I agree the taken thing is just silly, and very annoying. Sometimes my DH and I will play for our boys to get them credits and some of the things these kids try to say....yikes. I have taken quite a few off his friends list (he says ok to everyone:) ). Out of the 4 of us who play (DH, DS, DS, and me) my hubby is the only one who can do the fireworks, it is very frustrating because we can never finish a quest till he gets home from work! lol. The games are still pretty fun and my oldest is really into doing his own quest, took a long time to save up for it (before it went on special of course) but we still have fun.

I am so glad to hear you say that, because I feel like such a dolt not being able to get a high enough score to help her complete her quests. She is really good at finding her own trivia answers, but every single quest that involves fireworks comes to a screeching halt. (Ditto with the ghosts in the car quest.)

I've tried doing it myself, and we've tried playing together with one of us clicking the fireworks and calling out colors, and the other selecting the colors. It just isn't enough. When they first required a high score on one of the quests and we couldn't get it, I thought, "Oh well." But when they started adding it to other quests, I figured we were just out of the running! I give up!

Just keep practicing! I was really bad when I started and it took me ages to get to the last level, but now I can do it no bother (unless it throws me out:rolleyes: )

Does anyone know how the stupid taken thing started?

Taken was not around in beta, it was a few months after when the game really got popular. My theory is there were more adults around in beta and now there are more children. Kids who want to act "adult" so getting boyfriends and girlfriends is "adult" so they started taken. Just my theory.

:eek: i think this taken thing is crazy! im in a against taken club.and the baby is worse.the leader of the club told everyone to stop with baby to one of the babys,and she told on her to her mom! and she got in trouble! i cant believe they let this!!someone on my other account said " i like the way you move,lets be taken,then we can have a baby. it will be wild! " then i said i might get banned. then he said, " oh we can pretend ". THEN HE LEFT! I TIHNK HE GOT BANNED.he was trying to actually get a baby and make me pregnat!:eek: :eek:

but im telling you! why does vmk allow this! i thought vmk was related to disney! now its turing into a dating site!i i wish beta was still around..and baby..omg! they are always crying,whining,get everything they want! and always steal stuff! my gosh! vmk is a mad house! if i here, " are you taken? so it was just because of one person that this all began. i mean i was there during beta as well but i think those who played beta played because they loved disney not for it to be an online dating service.
