Hello,
This is my first time at this site and it's great! So much wonderful advice from fellow parents and visitors. We are planning to take our DD (2 1/2yrs) and DS (3months) for their first visit to DL late August, and had a question regarding rides and our 3month old.
Can a parent go on the rides with the infant? And if so, can we go on with our DS in Baby Carrier (like a Bjorn) or do we have to take him out and hold on to our DS?
Your help and advice is much appreciated!

With a baby that small I don't remember having been asked to remove my baby or carrier. We took our babies and used a carrier/sling and IMO it is much safer to have them in there since they still don't have the best head control at that age. Some CM's may ask you with older babies who can sit on their own (Pooh comes to mind). Also the lap bar on some of the FL dark rides would end up face level on a three month old on your lap.
I also think it is safer to have them straped on when you are entering/exiting a ride (like the train, small world, pirates, HM)since you usually need to use your hands for balance. I actually enjoy taking young babies to DL they sleep alot of the time, and when they need to eat you take a short break and enjoy the scenery...the older they get the harder they are to keep happy;)

The answer is yes. But. (there's always a but, isn't there?) You may come across a CM who tells you otherwise. For the most part, I haven't had a problem taking babies on rides in a Baby Bjorn (which I adore, btw.) The general rule of thumb is that the baby can go on any ride without a height restriction, but rides like Roger Rabbit requiring a child to sit up unassisted are a little trickier.
I've had mixed results with them allowing lap sitting on Pooh so I don't know what the official rule is for that ride. But, like I said, I've been on MANY rides with a baby in the Bjorn.

We took DD when she was just shy of 3 months. The first and only ride we did was Snow White... We found it to be just too darn jerky and her head control was not great. Now Snow White is pretty scary, so maybe it would not be on your list anyway... But if it is, well at least you know what to expect.
Have a great trip!!!

As previously posted, it seemed hit and miss. Some rides asked that we remove our son from the carrier, others did not. Some CMs asked that we remove our son from the carrier, others on the same attraction did not.....I did not see a pattern except for BLAB, definately asked to remove him each and every time. Oh and atro orbitor also....I think.
We just kept him in the carrier and if asked to we removed him, if not we rode with him in it.

With my, now nearly 3 yr old, I was only asked on Winnie-the-Pooh to have him "face" forward and that was on the 2nd time we rode (he was almost 3 mos old). With my youngest (10mos) we went when he was 6 wks old and I think the only one I was told to face him forward on was Snow White. I rode Mr. Toad, the Train, Pirates, HM, Casey Jr, Jungle Cruise, and Peter Pan with him in the Snugli. I could have kept him in the Snugli for Small World, but he was hungry. Each ride and each cast member varies. Just hold on tight and have a wonderful time.
