Okay, we're going to Disneyland in October and it just occured to me that dd (the 2 y.o.) may not be able to go on all the rides her 4 year old brother can.

For the rides that have a height restriction (42 inches and under) can I take her with us and have her sit on my lap? Or do we have to do a baby swap? I can see her getting really upset if her brother is doing something she can't. We will have one adult per kid and some days 2 adults per kid.

Any advice is appreciated!

If there's a height restriction - nobody under that height can ride it. It has to do with the restraint systems and the size of person they were designed for.

So you'll either have to do a swap, distract the younger one with something different so they don't NOTICE big bro is doing something she can't, or nobody ride anything you can't all go on.

I just looked through the rides that have height restrictions and it only looks like they're a few that she won't be able to ride that he will. And out of those few I think most will be too scary for him. So, it won't be the problem I thought it would be - Hurray! I'm sure I will have to distract her for Legoland though, there're a lot of rides she can't do there that her bro will want to.
