What happens if you move before they get to your name on the list? forfit? or can you inform them of your new address? maybe in seven to ten years I can afford to join.
I quote myself again ('cause it's just so darn much easier than typing from scratch ;)) from another past thread on this subject:
I knew someone that sent in his application and 6 years later he cleared the waitlist. Only problem was that at some point during that 6 years, he moved and forgot to notify the Club of his new address! He didn't know that he had cleared the waitlist until after about 8 years of waiting he called the Club and inquired. It's then that he found out they mailed his application 2 years earlier and it was returned! There were no memberships at that time, so he had to go back on the list! But they did give him a top spot and he didn't have to wait too much longer.
Moral of the story if you apply for membership? Don't forget to notify them of any Change Of Address!
:)
ThemeParkAddictOfOC...grundler is correct. No deposit required for Membership waitlisting. You may be thinking of the $500 deposit Members are sometimes required to give to reserve the entire Club for a Private Party.

Paying for things at Club 33 just brought to mind and unusual payment I made at the Club once. My "facts" about this promotion may be off a bit because I'm a little foggy in the recall department on how the promotion actually went...so please cut me some slack if I get a few things wrong.
Disneyland had this "Pog" promotion one year. Pog were little round "chips" that I think were used as part of some game or something in the real world. But folks collected them too. Disney sold these character Pogs with different denominations of $$, like $5, $10, $20. They were sort of like Disney Dollars...you could use them for food or merchandise purchases within Disneyland. But you couldn't get cash back for them. Why not? Because for every so much $$ in Pogs you purchased, you earned coupons that could be exchanged for special gifts. Depending on how much $$ in Pogs you purchased during the promotion, you could pool your coupons for bigger and better gifts. Anything from T-Shirts, watches, all sorts of stuff. I recall one gift at the higher level even included a dessert service at Club 33 (one of the only times Disney has allowed non-members a chance to dine there).
Anyway, my honey wanted one of the bigger items at the higher end of the scale...I don't even recall now what it was. I knew we were taking a bunch of friends to Club 33 for dinner so I bought like $1000 or more of these dumb Pogs. I had a whole bag of them. Later when the check was presented at the Club, I whipped out this big bag of Pogs and gave them to our waiter (who I knew quite well). You should have seen the look on his face! I said, "Well it does say they're good anywhere in Disneyland!"
But they took them! I took a lot of ribbing from the management and staff over that one, but they got a kick out of the whole thing. And my honey got whatever the heck it was as her free gift. :)
Wasn't one of the Pog prizes a Club 33 reservation? I recall wanting that but not being able to come up with nearly enough. I think it was ten grand worth of Pogs. They called them Koins of the Kingdom, and they were all Lion King related, as I recall.

Yep. I mentioned that at the end of the second paragraph above.

It was dessert only for two. Not a full dinner. I don't think it was ten grand worth of Pogs though. That sound awful high.
;)

That's right. I remember that we still had a bunch of coupons left after my honey got whatever she wanted, and I blew the rest on a bunch of these Special Edition Lion King T-Shirts and Lion King watches that I later gave away to friends and co-workers. :)

Well, don't I look like the idiot? <sigh> That's what I get for starting to reply before I read the whole message, and failing to finish reading the message before I hit the post button. One would think I would have learned how to do this properly after more than two decades online.

The "Pogs" thing is interesting. I can see how that would be a miss and/or nightmare for the club or for cashier's taking in the collection stuff.
Ok, how in the world did you get into Club 33?
Don't they require a fee from you just to be added to the list?
Great photos! I have only been able to see the lobby (Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour) so this is great to see so much more!!!
I have been looking everywhere to find reliable information on the amount it is to join and the annual dues. Does anyone know for sure? Also, how long is the waiting list? I have found different numbers for that as well.
We are on the waiting list, although I don't know if we can really afford it but I am hoping we can by the time our name comes up.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

Yeah. And I bet Disneyland Cash Control hated the darn things, as well! :)
BTW...I did later hear that I wasn't the only one to think of Club 33 as a great place to burn off big bucks in Pogs. I was just the first. Apparently many other people (mostly Members!) later got the same bright idea all on their own! :)
I also heard that enterprising fans and players of the promotion apparently quickly discovered little loopholes that allowed them to get cash-back for their Pogs and then go purchase some more to earn more coupons. Cashiers all over the Park were supposed to have a beginning-of-shift supply of Pogs in their cash drawers to use to give as change to those that paid with Pogs...only giving U.S. coin or currency as "the difference" if they had no Pogs to give out. Well, Cashiers ran out of Pogs or didn't have the smaller denominations or were never given any, etc. So these Sneaky Pete's would find places like this, and go in and purchase a piece of nickel candy or something else that was uber cheap...and get their change in U.S. Legal Tender, and then go purchase more Pogs! Racking up the Gift Coupons along the way. They would then Rinse & Repeat. I even heard there was sort of an underground location network where folks would exchange info on the best places to pull this scam.
I think Disney learned their lesson about that type of promotion with the whole Pogs deal!
BTW, if I recall...the official Koins of the Kingdom Center was located at the Town Square Egg House...where I think there's now a Pin Trading Center?

Thanks! It was my pleasure to be able to host so many people from Mouseplanet and Miceage in one place.
The food is not the same as the Blue Bayou. Club 33 has a different menu, and a different setup, with a seafood and salad bar, and a dessert bar. I prefer the Club 33 food over Blue Bayou, but it's possible others feel differently.
