My husband, my daughter (28 months) and I are headed to Disneyland August 14th for a week. It isn't the first time we have gone. However, this time I am 6 months pregnant. I know it will be quite hot and crowded. Any tips for making this trip run smoothly?

Sorry I can't answer your question, but when I read the thread title I thought you were saying you were going to give birth to a two year old!

I'm sorry, it's late here:rolleyes:

Here are two MousePlanet articles with tips on beating the heat at Disneyland:

I will probably be there just after you...but only 3 weeks before my c-section with my 18 month old. :)

I was just going to say take it slow and drink LOTS of water.

When Mrs. GusMan was pregnant with our second, we just followed some simple tips:
- Drink lots of water at the parks / keep hydrated.
- Take frequent breaks.
- Snack on healthy snacks / try to eat healthy meals as well.
- Drink water at every meal.
- Relax - dont try to rush.

Have a great time!

I love the title ... suggests a medical miracle, but I know what you mean!

Yup: Frequent rests. Drink at least twice your normal water (we stuffed bottles of water in the bottomof the stroller when we went in June and I was PG w/ my 18 mo).

Consider checking out more indoor, a/c shows. Enjoy the baby care center!

Nap or take a dip in a pool when your 28 mo takes an afternoon nap/rest.

We also brought granola/Luna bars. Great for a quick, nutritious snack, not too much sugar.

Wear loose, cool clothing; good walking shoes that can expand are great.

Personal rule of thumb: When in doubt, don't (go on rides yourself).

I went to WDW with my 2 1/2 year old when I was 6 months pregnant. I walked the parks for four days straight and didn't have any problems. I was tired but still enjoyed the parks immensely. However, it was November and we only had one day where it crested 80.

Ok, I know your trip already happened (hope it was fun!)

But, I just went yesterday w/ my 18 month old (I am 37 weeks.) It was quite doable. I drank lots of water (thanks baby care center for the easy-to-fill-my-water-bottle drinking fountain (w/ cold water), and basically took it easy. We did easy things like the Playhouse Disney show (sitting inside), Small World (cool, inside), took the train for a full loop (sitting), and ate at Plaza Inn (inside, A/C).

I got there about 11, walked (that was smart) to the park instead of taking the tram, and left around 7pm.

I brought the "leash" for DD which helped me a bunch (since she isn't as fond of the stroller as she used to be). She now likes to run, so at least having her tethered to me kept ME sane.

And then I spoiled DD rotten for the day, so she was on her best behavior! ;)
