We went yesterday, nice, not too busy! I was surprised.

The new water play area is great, I had to hold my 3 year old down to get out of there, lol. If you saw a little girl screaming yesterday as we left, tht was me.

The tickets we got through the military were $31 and are good for 2 days, not bad!

Okay, now my compliant, it is kinda gross there! The water stinks to the point that I was gagging a couple of times. It is dirty! I think it is mainly the water rides that are like this. Can't they do something about that smell?????? And my hubs didn't like how faded everything was. We went right when it opened back in 2001, and it was so nice and bright. Have they learned from this and tried to invent antifading legos??? It just takes away from the park so much!

BUT.. we are going back on Sunday to play for a little bit. So it wasn't that bad.

OH I have a bunch of buy and adult get a child in for free. If anyone wants one, let me know. I will mail them to you.

The Lego elements are coated with a type of special 'sunblock' - you can see it peeling off of most of the models now lol. Besides that there is not much they can do to prevent fading. They took out all of the DC area not too long ago and the next summer it went back to almost as bad as it was before.

That is too bad! So they do rebuild them or just do something to the legos? It is so neat to look at the items but the colors are a little off, lol. Is it like this at all the legoland parks?Maybe they should have enclosed the miniarea or something, like a big tent?? I notice it throughout the park, but mainly there since you are looking so closely at the legos.
