Posting this for a friend: it's my understanding that having a season pass at any Six Flags park (whether amusement park or water park) allows you admisssion to any other Six Flags park. However, the website apparently doesn't define what a "season" is, though I seem to recall that their passes run on a calendar year, as opposed to one year from date of purchase. If someone buys a season pass now for a Six Flags water park in another location, would they still be able to use that pass to get into Magic Mountain in say October or November?

Thanks!

There are tiers to the season passess. A waterpark pass will not automatically get you into MM, but rather Hurricane Harbor. However, if you have the dual pass (MM & HH) together, you would be able to visit most of the parks in the chain. For example, I have the SFMM extreme pass, but it doesn't include HH. It might be worth it for your friend to get the combo season pass, and double check with the local park that he can use it at MM.

Also, the season is a calendar year, every operating day in 2006 up to Dec. 31.

My Six Flags Magic Mountain Season Pass says "Expires 1/07/07".

This I believe is a change, as I always in the past had them expire at the end of the year.

But this takes it thru Sunday, Jan. 7th, which is the end of most SoCal schools Christmas break, so it does make sense.

And Six Flags works just like Cedar Fair, all passes are good at similar parks (The American Adventures park is excluded as printed on the back of the SF SP due to lease agreements). So a theme park AP/SP is good at all other theme parks in the chain, and a water park AP/SP is good at other water parks, and a combo pass is good at both types of parks.

Last year I used my Marine World pass at MMtn the day before Thanksgiving (MW had closed for the year already). It is specifically good for MW and the Waterworld water parks in Concord and Sacramento; they do not issue a pass that does not include the waterparks, but I think the waterparks have season passes that don't include MW. The back states it is good at "6 Flags theme parks, The Great Escape, La ronde, Wild Waves and Enchanted Village and Wyandot Lake". It is specifically not good at "Hurricane Harbor, other seperate gate waterparks, American Adventures and Frontier City/White Water Bay". Parking and other options are home park only. Doesn't have a specific expiration date, just states "2006 Season Pass". Lot's of other fine print and legalese, but that's what pertains to the question.

Cheers.

That was my question too. I have a season pass for Six Flag Fiesta Texas, but I am not sure if I would be able to use it at Magic Mountain. I don't have the pass with me right now, but I will go home and read the fine print on the pass then. IF I can use it at MM next summer (when I get our new passes) then that would be a bonus for our family.

But then I was trying to decide if we were going to Disneyland or Disney World next summer. So... I am trying to come up with pros and cons to going to each park.

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.
