View Full Version : Advice Request: Wishes and California Grill?

Right now, I have a reservation for the California Grill at 9:50 p.m. (the latest seating I could get) on an evening when Wishes starts at 9:00 p.m. I would dearly love to see the MK fireworks and then scoot over to the Contemporary to check in, but do people think this is doable? Wishes is 15 minutes (I believe), and the walk from the MK to the Contemporary is about 10...but there's the matter of getting out of the MK, from the Contemporary lobby to the check-in podium, etc. Does anyone have any thoughts on how this might best be accomplished (e.g., watching the fireworks from the end of Main Street to be closer to the turnstiles)?
Thank you in advance!

You should not have any problem.
Since the check-in podium for CG is actually on the second floor all you have to do when you get into the CR is walk to the back of the lobby and take the escalator up one flight; the check-in area is just off the escalator.
I would agree with the timing of wishes and the walk to CR. That would give you 25 minutes to get from wherever you are to the park entrance.

There is a simpler solution here...and a lot less stressful. Watch the fireworks from the Contemporary. We have watched the fireworks many times from the Poly and the Contemporary. The view is great (and not that distant)...the crowds are obviously much smaller...and the hotels pipe in the soundtrack to the fireworks show. There are several outdoor spots at the Contemporary with great views. So you see the fireworks...then casually stroll inside to check in...then casually stroll into Cal Grill.
