Looking at shore excursions in Nassau! Do we go through Disney or go off on our own?

Depends on how many people you have and who you are going with. I've done Nassau on my own (walked around town and the like). Some people go on the dolphin or snorkel excusions. If you do an excursion the only reason I say go through Disney (or any line) is they are reputable. If you get one on your own you have no way of knowing if they are legit.

We have 2 children ages 3-7. We were thinking of doing the Stingray
adventure at Blackbeard's Cay Beach. It is lower in cost and good for the ages of our children. Anyone ever done this one?
