One: Is there anywhere to buy tickets online where they'll send tickets WITHOUT a $15 shipping charge? I happen to think that's a ridiculous amount on top of tickets.

Two: Has anyone used their kennels? I'm just curious if I should be worried about leaving my dog there.

Three: Where's a great place to eat that's NOT in Universal or City Walk and on the general way back to Anaheim?

Universal Studios Hollywood offers Print at Home ticketing which is free.

You print out the barcode, and take it straight to the gate, no need to exchange it at the park.

Never heard of a kennel service at USH. If you have some info, I would love to know about it.

Complimentary kennel service at USH. Just inquire at the Guest Service Window with your dog when you arrive. They will provide water. Guests need to bring their own food and you have to return during the day to feed and/or walk your dog if you want. It is open with park hours for the day and closes when the park does.

Yeah, I know about that. I unfortunately do not have a printer and am annoyed that for that much money, they can't stick it in an evelope.

They supposedly offer free kennel service there but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't icky/scary. :D

Thank you! Have you seen it though? Is it run down or dirty or anything negative?

The print at home tickets come in a .pdf file in your e-mail. You can forward it to a friend with a printer or take the file to Kinko's and print them.

Hi there! I will be using the USH kennel for my pup tomorrow and will post about it on Saturday... P.S. If I forget to post, PM me!

Okay!

So we arrived to USH at around 10 am and proceeded to the Will Call window to the right of the main entrance. When I got to the counter, they pointed to a black gate to the right and told me someone will be called to let me in. A guest services person arrived a minute later, unlocked the gate and then unlocked the door to the kennel. It was air-conditioned and indoors! There were two rows of kennels on each side, with top cages for small breeds and lower cages (maybe big enough to be called dog runs?) for big breeds. The cages had cement floors and chainlink gates. Its a bit older looking, but seemed adequate and clean enough. I wished I brought his bed for comfort. My pup was the only dog there and by the end of the day, there were only about 8 others. There are not a lot of cages, but the rep told me that they don't remember it ever being full. They provide a water bowl, but there is no food allowed in the kennel. You must come back and feed your dog outside of the kennel - they said due to past rodent problems. Oh - behind the big universal ball and a little to the left where the taxi''s wait, there is a small area specifically for dogs to go potty. They even have baggies there for you. If you want to feed or take your dog out to use restroom after you are in the park, you must go to the guest services office and let them know you want to get your pet. They will tell you to exit and meet you at the black gate. When you are done and want to go back in the park, go back to the will call window and they will have someone let you back in.

BTW - the kennel is not staffed. Its a locked facility though, and you sign your pet in when you arrive, and sign out when you leave for the last time. Not for potty breaks though. But they do ask who your pet is and what your name is - then they check the roster.

So I guess I will take my dog back only IF there was no one to watch him. Its definitely not as nice as DLR Kennel, but it is a free service at USH... I would make sure your pup is up to date on bordatella and all other immunizations, as well as your preventative flea/tick treatment just in case :)

You are completely awesome. Thank you SO much for the detailed report. I'm glad it's not dirty but I'll definitely be taking her bed and a blanket. You made my trip that much better!
