I have seen both old rusty railing, and I think you are referring to pieces of the mountain (Facade plaster).

A lot of the 50th symbols have been removed

So have some more mosiacs

A look at the Sub Lagoon from Autopia

A look at the prep for Haunted Mansion Holiday

And a look at the new "The Lounge at Granville's", including the Lunch Menu. (They will only serve Lunch, and then Appitizers during the dinner hours). But be Prepared, the Cheeseburger is now $14 (Though it is a half pound Angus Burger with Cheese and Bacon).

And a few news tidbits

"The Lounge at Granville's" is now open from 11:30 AM to 10 PM daily (a change from the old Top Brass hours).

Star Tours is now part of Early Entry, to substitute for the Matterhorn and the Monorail. Also, Star Trader will open as part of Early Entry.

A hint for those who have just received their AP newsletter, take your AP to the parks and look at the center page (Contest to win a Honda Fit) while riding an attraction that uses Black Lighting (aka UV), the answers will magically appear.

Glad to hear she's doing better. She will be exhausted returning to work. Be sure to spoil her extra good tomorrow. :) (Like you don't always anyway!)

Do you know, Darkbeer, are the DCA collages also coming down? We are in both Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. I'd hoped to get one last shot of Nemo, to see if I can find our photos. I did find them in Monsters. Thanks! Great photos as always.

Two things.

1. Thanks for the Billy update. Love them and I hope to catch them there in this unique format.

2. I NEVER knew that store was called the Pioneer Mercantile! I never even looked up to see that sign in your photos. :p Thanks!

Dumb question here... On page 11, second duck picture, is that an advertisement on the rocks underneath the ducks and water? Is it photo enhanced, or is it really there?

Looks like you are talking about photo 158.

The duck is sitting on a sand bag. (and there are a few sandbags in this area) The bags are not usually visable (when the water is at the normal level), and the "Advertsing" is the Sand Bag company name and info.

The photo was not enhanced.

A few photos from today, including the castle crowns, since they won't be up for much longer. I did get a good look at the construction project for Nemo/Monorail station. New concrete piles have been poured to support a new suspended walkway above the submarine loading area. It looks like the speed ramps will be gone for good, instead a elevated concrete ramp will get you up to the monorail platform, and will give the submarine queue more room. I was able to see inside of the Submarine show building, it is a real mess in there, it appears concrete is still being poured in the new and old show buildings.
I took some detailed photos of the pumpkin characters at the front gate, I am not too impressed.
I will be back at Disneyland tomorrow to see the Nightmare Before Christmas and the other new things that open tomorrow.

Lots to see today at Disneyland, a media event was taking place with radio and TV stations in the area doing live broadcasts from Disneyland. Disneyland dug out the Pirates stuff from June and put it back out on main street to serve as a backdrop for the broadcasters. Pumpkins with Disney characters have been placed in the Walt and Mickey Partners statue area. Lots of photos of Haunted Mansion Holiday, little has changed from last year. Also photos of California Adventure and the Golden Screams Theater, I was told the wait was 90 min. long, but I did take photos of the characters in the queue. The Tower of Terror has also been decorated for Halloween with bats, I have photos of the bats and of a solar panel which is being used to power the lights. Some odd Tower of Terror character was walking around talking to guests, she told me is a Hollywood reporter, looking for celebrities inside of the hotel.
Well lots to see here today, I have a feeling the castle 50th decorations are coming down soon.
