Post Your Disneyland Photo and Video Updates

These images were taken on Monday 2-16-09. The park was pretty empty and they ended up closing the park 2 hours early due to the bad weather.

The story behind these images is that my wife was shooting that night and she ended up taking the D3 with the 24-70mm lens, so I got stuck with the D700 and the 70-200mm lens. Trying to shoot fireworks with a 70-200mm lens is darn near impossible, but I think that I made the best of the situation. Let me know what you think. Images are posted at:

i had a question. Did the fireworks run early on Monday? I was able to see them from Concordia University in Irvine but it was 8:50pm or so when they were firing..

Yes, they ran the show at 8:45 and the park closed at 9:00.

I'm not sure what's happening with my account but I have two (of a planned five) albums from our trip in December available to view (public). I had been thinking about you DaddyB and how you had not posted anything in quite a while. It's good to see you back, and I pray things are well with you. I think I'm fully out of the dark tunnel that I was in for such a long time. Funny how my financial hardships started two years before anyone else's, and now that I'm fully, and wonderfully, employed and doing something that I LOVE for work (though for about 3/4 of the pay) and putting the dark depression behind me, it seems like the rest of the country is just going into the tunnel...

Funny too how it was these very photo updates were one of the (if not THE) main reason why my employers decided they wanted me for the job. So even though I felt guilty going to the parks at all while I was unemployed and so depressed I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to, it was because I DID go and post photos that I got employed... God works in mysterious ways!
