I love your photo updates. The pictures are not like the usual travel site pics; they make you feel like you've been glancing around in the park. I can't wait to go back and see everything with my own eyes again...you got me jonesin'.Actually, rojen97128 is jonesin after looking at Darkbeer's pics on page 1. But thanks for reposting their post.

The trick to getting no people in the shots is to wait until the park has closed and hang out for an hour or so. I think that the thrid image was taken a little after 2:00am.
How late can you stay in the park after it closes? And do they keep everything lit up til that time?

Usually Main Street stays open for an hour after closing. They start moving people toward Main Street fairly quickly and they close down certain parts of the park quickly after closing. If you start in Critter Country or somewhere in the back and walk slowly taking pictures you might be able to get the picture you are looking for.
An hour after the park closes they start closing Main Street and security will encourage you to leave. I once walked outside right to take a picture while my wife was inside one of the shops and they shut the door on me. I had to run into another shop to catch up with my wife.

Years ago I had a friend who always wanted to hide out in the park after it closed to see what they did then. I was the chicken who would tell her "don't do it you'll be arrested".

I know that you guys don't want commercial site links, but this is the only place that I have to post my images. The web doesn't do the photos much justice, but hope you enjoy them anyway.

I'll post some more when I get a chance to go back to the park.
I just looked at this thread and WOW I love the pictures! They would look great blown up and framed!

Hey Everybody,
Started a new Video Podcast of just plain pictures. Simple, you bet. So I hope you enjoy a quick summary of the first 3 episodes and possibly subscribe. If you like to make slideshows of your Disney pictures, please share. I put this together to see other's, with my shows mixed in. Let me know what you think, jerms
Episode 000 - 001
Long story short, wife bought me a new Nikon D60 for my birthday, took lots of pictures, family and friends got tired of seeing Disneyland pictures and hearing how we are going again, end of family slideshows.
Now, left with tons of pictures sitting around, I thought how cool would it be if there was a podcast that I could send my pictures to be shown on a future podcast and be able to see other people’s trips. Realizing that there wasn’t one, I gave up. Then thought, wait a minute, why don’t I put something together. So I did. Of course, for now you will only see my family and my amateur pictures (very amateur), but with time, I hope to have other submitters showing off their trips and possibly historical shots of the parks. Lots of ideas, lots of plans, we’ll see. That’s the plan for Disney Vacation Photo’s.
For now, Episode 001 is up. The website is a simple download site (http://www.jermsworld.us/DVP) , and is more of a placeholder until I can get something cool up. The podcast image also doesn’t live up to my standards, so I’ll be working on a news one.
Hope you guys check it out (currently on ITunes), love to hear any advice or thoughts you might have to make it better, and we’ll see you on the next show.
Episode 002
This episode, we go back a little bit to 1989. My grandparents thought it would be a good idea to take the grandkids to Disneyland. While there are alot of pictures of us boys (I'm the oldest with glasses), there are some great pictures of extinct attractions. Picture size was a bit different than we are use to, and I did not format them to fit your screen. So you will see black lines. Also, the quality of some of the pictures isn't the greatest, but I did the best I could to clean them up. Enjoy!
Episode 003
A huge thanks goes to Steve for submitting this slideshow. The slideshow consists of 67 of the Mickey Statues (I believe there were a hundred? But I never saw them all). The video brings back a lot of great memories of wandering the parks and Downtown Disney trying to find them all. Great video, and thanks again Steve for doing a great job.

You guys take awesome pictuers. Ever interested in doing a slideshow, I'd REALLY appreciate it.
Just released Episode 4 of Disney Vacation Photos Video Podcast. It's dedicated to both my boys whose birthdays are coming soon. I use pictures from their first year at Disneyland (one in 2004, the other in 2007). Hope you enjoy.

After a nice non-Disney vacation, DVP is back with the Search of the 50's, a game that my family played during the 50th. Around the park, 50's were "hidden" for people to find. My wife and I took as many pictures as we could of these 50's. The game was fun, and would be cool if they did something like it again in the near future. Unfortunately, a lot of the lamp posts have the same 50 symbol, and we were told that each one was counted as 1 hidden 50. Hope you enjoy, and I'll be back next week with a new show. Thanks to all the new subscribers out there, it's awesome seeing the numbers increasing.

I got to sneak in to the media preview and grand opening of Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney’s California Adventure. I got some amazing behind the scene’s footage that no one else was allowed to get. It contains no spoilers, so if you haven’t been on the ride yet, this won’t ruin it for you.

I posted 3 short videos on youtube of the preview of Innoventions Dream Home from last week. These are some of the things I was most impressed with. I hope you like them too. Sorry but they are not the best quality. This link will get you to one of the video's. Just look for more video's from Hayjennnr for the rest of them.

Unfortunately, Disney's lawyers have called my work "GARBAGE" without ever seeing the images. They said that I've been warned not to sell the images. So, I guess I will have explore if I can legally give the photos away for free. I'm sure that I can, but I will need to check with a lawyer. If any of you happen to have a lawyer friend that knows about copyright law, please PM me.

I passed on traveling out of town this weekend with friends, so I went to Disneyland on the Fourth of July to check out the fireworks from the Hub along with the rest of the squatters there. The weather was in the mid-to-high eighties, so when I got there at around four, the Hub was fairly squatter free due to the heat in the unshaded areas. However, that didn't stop all of the benches from being taken already.
After some meandering in a couple of lands and having dinner at the Plaza Inn, I finally settled in to a spot dead center in front of the castle at just before six. In the three plus hours I had to wait, I sat near a CM on his day off and some other guests who were entertaining to listen to as we all got along. There was a "high winds" announcement played sometime before the show, but they mentioned the show might be "modified" rather than "cancelled." So it seemed like Disneyland would present some portion of the show if they could...and they did!
It did end prematurely about twelve minutes into it tho'. The soundtrack faded out, and a few shells exploded without music, followed by silence, then an apology that cited those "high winds" again as the reason why the show could not continue. But it was a fun adventure, and I had a good time seeing what I saw. Here's a link to a gallery of some of the shots I took while I was there, including fireworks shots.
