Frogberto, very cool, I use an XT also. What lens do you use for the low light shots (like the HM)? I use a 50 mm f/1.8 but cannot get the pictures to come out for many of the HM sceens.

Thanks for the reply! I have used a variety of lenses in past photos, but for the Haunted Mansion and Pirates shots you see in last month's album, almost all were taken with a 50mm f/1.8 lens. I had to play around with shutter speeds (from 1/30 to 1/60 is what I usually use), and I bump up the ISO to get better on ride shots.

The more I experiment, the luckier I get - photography seems to work that way! Good luck...

All I can say is WOW! DisneyDustin22 and Frogberto, I think you should send your photos into Disney itself. They'd make great promotional photos!! Great job you two!!

I attended the Fullerton Railroad Days event today and shot some photos of the C.K. Holliday from Disneyland and some of the other engines on display. Disney was promoting its transition to bio disel to power the steam trains:

I've updated my photos for May so far, and will continue to update 2-3 times weekly. You can find photos from Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure taken in May, 2007, at the following link:

The Albertsons Free POTC3 Ticket Flyer

This is a heck of a deal, since the vouchers are good on opening day, even if the window says "No passes or coupons".

A ride on the Railroad, which is now closed for refurb until early June.

A trip on the Canoes for the latest on TSI. Restroom doors have been added to the east side of fort, along with a second wheelchair lift to allow access to the restrooms. The fort itself will not be open to guests, just direct access to the restrooms.

The Rafts to TSI have had some new additions, looks like they are being renamed with names like Anne Bonney and Blackbeard, and will fly a Pirates Flag on a extended mast.

Food and Wine events, including Junior Chef.

The Stroller/Wheelchair Rental Tents have been removed and once again you rent them inside the turnstiles at both parks.

One of the Sub Lagoon refurb walls have been removed, giving a good look at the exit tunnel area. Also new landscaping for the exit of the FN:SV attraction.

"Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" kids visiting the park, and riding Space Mountain.

Some of the Splash Mountain Refurb Walls have been taken down (next to the large drop).

The Fantasmic! stage area is basically finished, to allow for the setup of the Movie screen for the Pirates Premiere.

Toy Story Mania! update from Screamin'

A look at the Disneyland Hotel area, including maintenance on the waterfalls.

The new drink menu at the Lost Bar, which caused increased prices of about $1 a drink.

California Screamin' now opens at 1 PM Monday thru Friday on most days due to the Toy Story Mania! construction. But in reality, it tends to open up between 12:30 and 1 PM. Also on some days, it will open at 10 AM, if there is no need for the construction crews to have access to the area.

Frogberto - those photos are fabulous!!! I love the vivid color and the depth of field (or lack there of!!) It really helps you concentrate on the subject. I'm VERY impressed! Loved the opening Goofy shot - FUN! BTW - my DS realy wants to be a Jedi now . . . he enjoyed the photos too. :)

Last year I went to Disneyland at the beginning of March with a good friend of mine who hadn't been there in nearly 30 years. We had a very fun time. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and the lady at the desk upgraded our room from a standard/standard view to a top floor suite!! It was awesome.

Anyhow, I made what I call a Picto-Movie which is a moving video with pictures set to music. If you are interested, you can click Clicky Here (http://www.thompent.com/familyvideo/dlrmuvee2.wmv) to view the file. It is in WMV format. It is about 78Mb big and runs about 3:12.

If you are running a Windows Machine with software older than Windows XP, you might consider right clicking the link and saving it to your computer first. Playing it directly from the server might give you herky-jerky results.

I'd like to hear yoru comments about this kind of video.. waste of time or do you like it?

WEW! Just about finished uploading most of these.
I shot a couple thousand pics (digital camera), so these albums will take you a while to go through.
I have not labeled or described them, that will be ongoing.

Still have more Pirate pics and some taken with my old Pentax 35mm to upload.

enjoy them. I sure enjoyed taking them and posting them.

I loved it! Thanks so much for sharing. For 3:12 I was transported 1000 miles away to my favorite place. Great pictures of the fireworks. The soundtrack to Soarin' is my all time favorite Disney music.

Thanks. The pictures of the fireworks were taken from the balcony of our room at the Disneyland hotel. My little Nikon Coolpix P2 has a "fireworks" setting, so I used that and a tripod - and I was amazed at how they came out.. you can see how the components of the fireworks are moving and the colors came out great.

WOW DisneyDustin22! Your shots are amazing. You may have inspired me to go back to read my camera manual so I can learn something more than point and shoot. Of course, everyone else's photos are fantastic too.

The set up for the Pirate movie screening continued today, three large cargo containers were airlifted into the park and placed down next to the bleachers, they are really going all out this year:

I noticed today that the Disneyland Food's department has changed the logo in the computer to now print out the Disney Parks logo instead of Disneyland. I for one don't like the idea of using generic logos for each park to save money:

Visited the park for a couple hours after work tonight, and took some very quick photos of the construction so far for the 'Pirates' premiere while muching on a churro and convincing my friend that riding Splash Mountain at night would be a great idea.

If you were going towards New Orleans Square by way of Big Thunder Mountain, it was one way traffic to the Pirates ride only. If you needed to visit the rest of the area and Critter County, you had to be coming from Adventureland or exiting the Pirates ride.

Lots of Scuba Divers were working on Finding Nemo this evening, they drove out the Nautilus and were using it as a base for the divers. The divers appeared to be adding more coral effects at the bottom of the lagoon:

The Finding Nemo ride wait time board is now up, I laughed when I saw that it read 120 min. A new countdown calendar to the opening of the ride as also has been installed:
