I loved the guy waving at you in the background of this pic. I assume he is testing the seagulls? Its funny to see the people working on the attraction recognize that they are in a fishbowl of sorts with people curious about their every move!

A change at Ariel's Grotto has everyone meeting Ariel before being sat down, and then given the opportunity to buy a photo with her (photo already developed) while enjoying your dessert. She no longer comes out to the tables, but the other princesses still do.

Thanks for the pix from Sunday, Darkbeer. I made a rare DCA-only visit on Sunday with friends for lunch and fun and to avoid the potential crowds I anticipated there being at Disneyland. So it was nice to see all the tents and stuff on the NOS/Big Thunder area in your shots that I missed. As it turned out, DCA seemed to be much busier in the afternoon then your shots showed Disneyland to be while you were there. :p

I'm not an engineer but isn't this one of the "dividing lines" from one monorail beam to another? I would say that the shape and the direction you were looking made it look like a crack.

In the past during the 60's, 70's and 80's up until Paul Pressler arrived at Disneyland in the early 90's, the concrete beam ways were sandblasted and painted at regular intervals. What you are seeing is the paint that has degraded, nothing is wrong with the concrete beam. I know engineers have looked at the whole beam way recently, work is being done to the beam way right now near where the tram crosses under the beam by Downtown Disney. The section by the Matterhorn in Fantasyland looks especially seedy. The beam way near the monorail station and Finding Nemo was sandblasted in November, I watched them do this personally. But why they didn't sandblast and repaint the whole beam way remains a mystery to me, it really does look very bad, but there is nothing wrong with the concrete.
