Has anyone gone in for the "dining with Shamu" meal at Sea World Orlando? Is it worth it? How does it compare with Walt Disney World dining experiences?

How does it compare with Walt Disney World dining experiences? I did, but to me it was over rated and very expensive. to some it may be well worth it. it depends on how you feel about eating while watching a whale. The meal was not to good, ( for the price) and every time I went up to get food it was gone. Bacon and sasauge was real bad ( tough) like it had been pre cooked and sitting some where until it was warmed up again. eggs hard ,nope it was not for me, and my kids did not like it either. Bear Necessities 07-15-2006, 06:41 PM I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing. It sounds like you are talking about their character breakfast with a costumed Shamu character. We are going for a buffet dinner that is on a patio around the backside of the Shamu stadium. The promos suggest that the actual whales -- and their handlers/trainers -- are right there. They sell it as a "behind-the-scenes encounter," though I wonder if it is any more (or less) interesting than eating at The Living Seas in Epcot. I was looking for something different for the kids on this trip -- somewhere between costumed character meals and full-on adult dining at a fancy restaurant. Drince88 07-15-2006, 06:44 PM They might be different experiences at the different Sea World's as well - Bear Necessities is asking about Florida's version.
